Hope you've had a lovely anniversary weekend, Tilly, and manage to stay a little bit drier today ;)

Evening, after a full on and ridiculously busy day, mum is in bed, as am I. Mr T and the kids are sorting a few things out and then they'll be coming upstairs too.

What do I feel grateful for today:

A mum who still laughs at life, and she's over 90
A husband who works hard yet still finds time to mow the lawns and make a cup of tea without a request
A daughter who can communicate with anyone and has proven that time and time again
A son who has sympathy, empathy and love

Thanks for everyone's posts - it's been a fab weekend and we are all refreshed. Much gardening completed today, along with church, a christening, dinner outside.

    Night all, Tilly x

Sounds like a great day. Its good to reflect on how privileged and blessed we are at times. :)
  • Morning,

The glorious sun of yesterday has disappeared. It's drizzling at the moment :(

However, all the garden jobs were completed yesterday - similar to the Fly Lady approach for gardening :)

Trip to the tip is needed at some point this week - not today as that really would be madness.
Ironing - just can't keep up with this at all
Airing cupboard - empty, sort, put away
Money - update spending diary, H@lifax shuffle
Food - check menu plan for the week
    Gym
Walking - take one hound, other has a poorly foot :(
Cycling - Mr T is cycling with DS to pick up his bike

Hopefully somewhere in the UK there will be better weather - I'm off to walk the health hound now.

    Best wishes, Tilly x x

So true. In this day and age we are all so busy and taking time out to stop and look around tends to be forgotten. Walking the hounds does allow me/us to at least watch the seasons changing.

Have a good day and hope you have some sun :)

Our recycling centre is always quiet on a bank holiday Monday as everyone usually thinks it will be closed - probably due to cuts.

Gym and hound walking not done but garage sorted from top to bottom. Kitchen bin cleaned - big job and due to hounds it really needed a good clean.

Bark put on the new bed we've created and it looks great.

Dog food purchased on line with cashback.

Mr Ts hotel bookings made for a couple of weeks, but I may have mentioned that before - 10% cashback plus prt of the book 10 nights, get 1 free.

Mr T went to the tip as he wanted the rubbish gone - clean and tidy garage, garden and house.

All in all, busy but productive day and ready to start work again in the morning.

Hope people managed to see a little sun :)

    Best wishes Tilly

I used to use hotels*com really handy with Quidco cashback and the one in ten as you could use it all over the place and add if the room cost more. Sadly used my freebies now but good while it lasted (changed jobs).

Also wanted to say good luck with your decision reading future work etc always difficult but we are only here once and should make the most of it. I am familiar with CAP I think their classes are fab but if it's actual money advise you were interested in then CAB might be worth a look as the training is excellent.
