Tilly, your post made me smile! I loved the way you told us about everything that's going on in the day, what you have planned etc. And then as an aside, it's my Wedding Anniversary! As if it's insignificant and of no importance.

Well, congratulations from me! Her's hoping that you and Mr Tilly have a wonderful day and that you have many more!

Are your Anniversaries like my birthdays? I have birthday months. A day seems so short, and a week just not long enough, so it stretches a bit.

Just consider the fun of it all, a whole month of being even more loved up than you are!
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Hi, thanks for your lovely messages - I've read them whilst sitting in the conservatory, listening to the rain hammering down :)

Tahlullah, I must admit we celebrate birthdays more than anniversaries and I agree with you, a day is never enough so we like to have a few things spread out. Another year with family and friends is always something to be celebrated in my book :)

I have completely given up with the weather and any idea of gardening has been knocked on the head. I went outside a short while ago, sun was coming up, 'let's get stuck in' I thought - more fool me, massive drops of rain started to pelt down, so I ran back inside.

I took mum to the shops this morning, dropped her almost right outside the door, DD walked her in, I went and parked up and by the time I got to the shop, 3 mins walk maybe, I was soaked to the skin. I must admit to seeing the funny side though and given its anniversary time, I was definitely smiling, verging on beaming.

Now getting her back in the car was a different matter as she can't see well at all and can't hear. I ran to get the car, threw the shopping into the boot with gay abandon, then drove back to the front doors. Sadly she couldn't see or hear me, queue jumping out of the car, stepping into a huge puddle and walking to escort her to the car. I'd given up even thinking of dry weather by this point.

It's been one of those days when things are just not meant to be. We popped to Costc@ and to say it was busy was an understatement - it was HEAVING. I've never seen it that busy even at Christmas (which dear friends is only 215 sleeps away).

I need to check the potatoes and get mashing - fish filling ready to go and champagne may just happen to be in the fridge. Using Fortune's words, this journey is definitely loaves and lilies :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x

Morning Thistle, hope Wednesday's groups went well - it's fab to see your CC going down. Do you already have a cashback credit card as well? I think you were going for a S123 but could be wrong.

I'm hunting down every opportunity to reduce my spends still - once you've done 1 or 2 scrubs it's certainly hard to find more ways to save. Doing this whilst still living a life is a challenge.

Have a good day today, and by the looks of it, you may have the thunderstorm - weather forecast is dire.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

    Hi Tilly,

Yes I've got the S123 current and the S123 cashback CC so it's all systems go. Managed to get my current balance over the £3,000 too so I'm full on with the interest side too.

    Clever Thistle!!!!:rotfl:

    Ps happy anniversary!!! Xxx
