Good morning, a moment of concern a few minutes ago, as I thought it was payday and nothing went into my bank  Whoops, I was a day out :)

    31p Tilly Tidied to MOS

Two PC surveys to do today

The rain has started - huge, noisy drops  I've just heard Mr T feeding the dogs, he'll be soaked

Money matters - I have two returns to do for Miss T this evening before going to start a free two week gym trial. Inspired by HDK I'm finally heading back to the gym.

Dinner this evening is Sicilian Squash and Chorizo 'stew' from Saving with JO. Quick and straightforward and it can be cooking whilst DD and I are out. Will serve with cous cous.

The short hard shower has stopped whilst I've been typing and the birds are singing their hearts now :)

Walking is going well and I've lost another 1lb. I need to add this into my signature again - I'm 2lb off half a stone now. Slow but steady. I'm averaging 3 miles of walking every day.

Just about to have a cuppa which was going to be in the garden with Mr T but the kitchen will have to suffice :)

Mr T is booking hotels stays via TCB currently 8% on each booking, free night after x stays, then paying with a S123 credit card giving 3% back on hotel payments. What a transformation re using your money wisely - well done Mr T

    Have a good Tuesday.

    Morning Tilly,

We managed to avoid the rain yesterdy but I feel we may not be so lucky today. I just hope if the skies re going to open, they don't do it whilst I'm unloading the car at the relief group I'm covering tonight. I hate getting wet just before running a group - I then have to stand up on front of everyone and "steam"!!!

    All good fun.

The gardens need it so I don't suppose it'll be too bad, and I do love a humdinger of a thunderstorm. Nature at its most raw!!

Thistle, hope you managed to unpack before the downpours. We had two last night and goodness, it poured. Well done on the weight loss
    :)

HDK, sounds a bit like sitting in the conservatory on a rainy day - hard to hear each other speak. I went to the gym last night thanks to you. I'm on a free trial at a smart gym but after that's over I'm off to a different one with Mr T.

Money updates, payday :T. Shuffles done and savings are starting to grow. I'm struggling to remember whether to save Tilly Tidies, or offset them, and need to think about what's the best thing to do. I don't feel as worried about having a high level of ready money right now,so may make capital reductions. Need to think as this impacts the future as well.

Mr Ts new expense a/c details have been given to finance and all future payments will go straight to the right place. This will make life a lot easier. I'm putting some money in as a float to start it off but it's a loan and he'll return to the main offset a/c later.

Work seems to be changing in a positive way although my view of my own future is still the same. I'm looking to move out ASAP, for my sanity and next chapter. I should know more on this front by early June. I feel very blessed that there are opportunities about and people are interested in talking to me. It's been such a confidence boost as I think I'd forgotten how much is in my brain, or in fact, how to use it :o

Mr T and I had a quick catch up last night, he was tired and I was bushed from the gym - get me :rotfl: In comparison to what I used to do at home with a PT, I didn't do much, just fast walking, cycling, a few machines but boy was I hot and bothered. I loved it :T Slept like a log and I'm off to have scrambled eggs on a slice of toast. Not sure what lunch will be but I have some tins of soup which DS has gone off, so could be that. Waste not, want not.

Dinner this evening is risotto - I'm dropping the kids off at activities and need to do the return I should have done last night. After that it's boring jobs like washing, ironing.

Mr T comes home tomorrow and DD and I are back to the gym for a spinning class - I think. No idea what's on the menu plan for tomorrow- need to check and raid freezer.

I'd better go and make a cuppa and get cracking.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Morning Fortune, Mr T and I were out last Saturday for our mystery shopper lunch and saw a ceramic sale - lovely picturesque village - low and behold two phrenology heads :). I thought of you. How's the hunt going,or have I missed it and you've bought one. Mr T says which type are you interested in? I hadn't realised there were types

    Morning Tilly,

It only started raining here about 9pm last night and only lightly so I never got to see my thunderstorm :(

I need to get cracking too! I've been watching some videos on Utube by Tony Robbins about getting control of your life back and achieving dreams - very inspirational man.

Hope you get your jobs done - I've a shed load to do before I leave for group, it being Wednesday!

    Catch you later. Tx:cool:

  • Morning Thistle, hope Wednesday's groups went well - it's fab to see your CC going down. Do you already have a cashback credit card as well? I think you were going for a S123 but could be wrong.

I'm hunting down every opportunity to reduce my spends still - once you've done 1 or 2 scrubs it's certainly hard to find more ways to save. Doing this whilst still living a life is a challenge.

Have a good day today, and by the looks of it, you may have the thunderstorm - weather forecast is dire.

  • Morning, boy am I late today. For some reason I slept poorly and didn't wake up until almost 7 :(

It's a mild, if not warm day but there was around 2cm of rain in the dog bowls. (We feed them outside). Unbelievable.

Last night I managed to do the return, buy a little fruit, drop kids off, speak to Mr T who was preparing for a workshop today. You know it's going to be a challenging meeting when you and 4 levels of mngt above you, are going as well  Sending him good luck vibes today and being ever practical, what a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills and experience.

Money - £3 PC to be claimed, YG survey in the bag, I must remember 1P and get to payout. £co has around £10 to be paid between end May and early July. TCB is at just over £22, no idea when that's payable.

I need to check my B@@ts card, decide what to do with Tesc@ vouchers and file away Mr Ts hotel reward statements. I think he will end up with around 14 free nights per year, through one mechanism or another. That sounds great to me and means the two of us could have a few weekends away ( unless there's a restriction to week days only).

Mr T is home tonight and we are having a mini celebration as DS has finished his exams.

I'm picking mum up tomorrow for a few days. We are going to chat again about making her temporary stays permanent. She is fiercely independent so it may end up doing the same as last year. When she starts to say she's worrying again, have her move in for a few months, but with the knowledge she still has her home. I worry about her a lot and am really looking forward to visiting a beautiful garden centre on Saturday with her. Poached salmon for dinner tomorrow night, need to remember to remove from freezer in the morning :)

All in all life is ok, still not in a position to make changes re work but much closer than I was and will be tackling difficult conversations next week. I'd hoped to do this either last week or this, so do feel a bit behind schedule.

I guess I'd better get cracking.

    Best wishes Tilly x
