  • What a delightful afternoon, I'm massaged, chilled, rested and Mr T is making HM pizza.

    Worth every penny :)

I think it must be glass of wine time.

Weather is completely mad and I'm not certain what season we are in any more

HM chilli with rice and salad this evening, quick night as kids need taxi services.

I'm having a 14 day free gym trial from Thursday night. I'm taking a leaf out of HDK (:A) book and making sure I have time for me. Saturday's massage did my head the world of good and I'm going to continue in the same fashion.

The kids are perfectly capable of cooking a meal if needed and by going to the gym I have to be away from my laptop/work:T

The sun is out, the wind has died down and all seems pretty good.

    Have a good day

  • Good morning, positive steps taking place towards our future. The next few weeks will confirm what direction it will be going in, but one way or the other, the overall stress levels will be reduced.

I'm loving the feeling of change. " If you weren't scared what decision would you make?" is a phrase on my mind at the moment.

    Back to money....

All change on the offset front. I am back to making capital OPs, OK they are small but still count. I don't think this will last once Mr Ts tax and expenses are sorted but in the meantime I am Tilly Tidying as I'm finding it frustrating and need small positive steps. Today 52p and 40p TT to mortgage :T

Money from DS phone sale has also been OPd. Mr T and I did discuss giving it to him but as it was carelessness that damaged the phone, then no. He has to learn cause and effect.

Payday for me is a week away and two for Mr T and this period is best described as a wilderness. No wonder Tilly Tidies help to keep the motivation going, whether they are paid off the mortgage, into an offset or savings pots they keep the focus and, albeit tiny, continual steps in the right direction.

Mr T has left this morning for a couple of days and I'm using some time this evening to catch up on the ironing. My new peas which I planted are also being chewed and I'm going to have one last go and put netting up around the area. My hounds are definitely in the dog house over pea gate

Dinner this evening is leftovers - pork and roast veg and I'll do some fresh veg to serve with it. DS and I are going for the first C25K walk/jog/walk early evening. I can't remember when I last tried this. Thanks HDK for continual inspiration.

Finally taking a leaf out of Lois, Greying, Habibiboo and PearlaMerle - things to be grateful for:

    Dawn chorus :)
My mum, who at her advanced years still, has the ability to laugh and joke about life and inspire the kids
Having such a supportive and brave family

Have a good day and soon be hump day.

    Morning Tilly,

You've motivated me for the day today. I'm SO busy at the moment - nor a moment to think, and the next two days will be full on 12 hour days:eek:

Oh btw, I lost 1.5lb in my first week back at SW which was amazing considering I was nowhere near 100% FO. Aiming for 4lb this week! How are you doing?

    Have a great day

  • Morning Thistle, apart from Sunday, things are going OK. I haven't posted losses yet but will do once I've got the first half a stone out of the way. I don't want to jinx anything

    You're doing well :)

Long days are tortuous at times, but if they become the norm, then it's time to change

C25K is good fun at the start, but it gets a wee bit boring after a while as the music is all a bit random. It's definitely a good starter for getting back into exercise and it contains some genuinely helpful tips re. running technique.

Positive steps towards the future

I wish I could do more walking. I used to love climbing the Lakeland fells but alas, because of my knackered hips, I'm just not able to. Well I can, but I pay for it afterwards!!!

Roll on 2022 when I can have my new hip....so they tell me!
I'll be mortgage free by then!!!:D:D

    That long?!

Mrs E has a relative who knows that they will need a replacement join in the future, I get the impression that they thought it would happen in the next couple of years. I think they may need some more research.
