  • Hi Tilly, sending my best wishes to your mun and I hope something is just around the corner for Mr T job-wise. Well done on your money left over in the shopping budget, great stuff! And I love the sound of yhe corned beef and potato pie, in fact you have just given me an idea for tomorrows tea as we have potatoes to use up, so thankyou! :) xx

Thanks GlitterJ, pie last night was lovely. It's one of those things that you wouldn't want every day but a couple of times a year, it's something we all really fancy :)
Chutney on pizza, what a great idea, thank you! *adds to recipe bank*

It sounds like things are a lot chipperer in the Tilly Household, hope it continues apace :)

Things going OK. We both feel differently now and I think mum being with us has been a big help as well. I'll be glad when she comes back after the funeral. Sadly I won't be able to support her and be there but Mr T will be going.
Well done on grocery savings and wt loss Tilly xx

You too re weight loss :). February is going to be a harsh month on the shopping bill as the freezer is still heaving and I need to turn the stock over. DS wants to know why he can't have chocolate and crisps with his lunch like his school mates  Since I've never done that in all the years he's been at school, I'm not starting now. I do think I need to make some snacky stuff though. Need to have a think about what to make.

  • Study is lovely, clean, polished, all paperwork filed, financials bang up to date.

I'm heading to Tesc@ on Friday for the shopping, purely because I have vouchers to use and it means no cash expenditure, plus some of the vouchers will run out. I also need to pop into S@insbury to use up a cash voucher. I'd ear marked £15 for fruit and veg, there's a chance I won't need to use cash :T.

I really do wish I could get to understand the glitches on the Elite thread - I must be a bit thick as I struggle to get the hang of them :o

Mr T still needs jeans and I have an M&S voucher so will have another go in there.

I thinks that's all for now.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Jolly well done on the weightloss.
  • Yes, I wish I had lost four pounds. I still have a whole Xmas cake in the tin though.....

Well done, I'm still trying a loose version of the 5:2 fasting but not getting far because I'm too sedentary work-wise (apart from taking dogs out at lunch time when it's not tipping down with rain)! The walking challenge sounds like an excellent next step :rotfl: for both weightloss and fitness! Keep up the good work!

    H@lifax outbound shuffle complete :)

Today I'm grateful for antibiotics, glorious hounds who give you a cuddle when needed and my pretty superb husband :)

I can't recall mentioning last week that we all loved the Sports Relief GBBO. Made everyone laugh.

We've got a small pile of tasks to do and they are neat and tidy in the study. That's going to be tomorrow afternoon.

Outstanding job - freezer and larder inventory then meal plan.

    Pleasant dreams,

Mine too! I thought that I was doing well with £164 cashback for the year, but you have done really well out of it :rotfl:. I wish I could pay my Council Tax by CC, but our LA only allows debit and not credit cards :(.

I keep expecting ours to introduce charges for CC but when I asked this week, I was told no plans :T

    It does make a difference.

When I checked the exercise board last year I was surprised there was not a yearly no cost exercise challenge.

  • Morning Peonie, hope you are feeling OK this morning.

That would be a good idea. Given the January we've had exercise has gone completely out of the window. However, things are looking up and we have plans for February. It's lovely that the mornings are lighter and the evenings are drawing out :)
