Hello,
I know what you mean - the sense of security from knowing that you can't lose your house no matter what happens is worth pursuing. I do like the sound of your meals - ours are very dodgy at the moment as we are emptying the freezer. Oh had a leftover portion of lasagne with leftover Singapore noodles. I had some slightly old cheese with slightly soft crackers. Good thing I was absolutely starving....Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Hi SSS, my mum made me laugh tonight. I've made baguette pizza but she wanted a tin of soup and egg on toast. However, then fancied the pizza as well :rotfl: Worse than a teenager
Hi SF, DD suggested tonight that we spend the year with no repeat meals. 'You've got enough books to cook something different every day for years' :rotfl::rotfl: I don't think I could cope with that as staples like chilli and cottage pie etc definitely need more than an annual airing.
Maybe when I've retired :T

Gosh, a year with no repeats would be a massive challenge  :eek:Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

You've just reminded me that I have some sprouting seeds that could do with being put into active service, thank you

Hi Tilly.
Do you happen to have Nigella Lawson Kitchen recipes from the Heart of the Home book?
If so can you recommend any particular recipes. I got one this year as a gift and it's so thick I don't know where to start! TIAGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi TC, I certainly do. I've come to bed for an early night, but I'll grab my book tomorrow and jot down some favourites
