Morning, MiA but good control of the finances still
DD and I have taken mum shopping and she did very well in the M&S sale. It was a joy to see her trying everything on at home although we did have a few returns.
Christmas was fab and really thoughtful gifts given and received.
The rubber sided freezer is earring it's keep. The left over meats have been frozen with gravy for using Jan/Feb. Ham has been chunked or sliced and frozen ready for other dishes. Nothing has been wasted at all:)
More importantly than anything mum has had a brilliant Christmas. We have had friends here for dinner, we've taken her out and no tinge of sadness.
My hounds are currently jumping around wanting a walk and I'm out of action due to a slight non alcohol related mishap. Mr T and DD are walking them.
13p moved to MOS
I'm joining everyone in the non booze January.
Only food spend in January will be milk, fruit and fresh veg. I will have £10 per week for this and that's it. I did it last year and can do it again. Meal plan will change slightly to use up some of the Xmas leftovers.
I'm not making any resolutions in 2014 - my only intent is to be consistent with the tasks we already have set up - spending diary, TTs etc. I know already that work will be full on and I don't want any more pressure.
Best wishes

You see, that's what happens when you sober up. Hope you recover quickly

Oh dear. Suppose I'd better join in as well . Not counting 1 week's holiday late in the month. I need alcohol to get me through a week with Mr GG :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'm all in favour of an no booze January if you think that's a good idea, but what's with the sudden proliferation of people expecting to be sponsored for it? Is there a charity campaign or something going on?
I find it a little sad that people expect to be given a medal for not getting drunk for a month :rotfl:0 -

Hi Tilly - festive regards to you and apologies for intruding on your diary
Ed - yes there is - one sponsored charity event I've seen - here0 -
Hi Mr E, I haven't heard of any sponsored non drinking campaigns.
After tonight I'm going to give up chocolate as well
I'm not posting as much as trying to get into a routine with mum.
Love to everyone, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
