Have a lovely time visiting the galleries! That's one thing I miss about London and one of the reasons DH wants to retire there (I know it's the opposite way round for most people!)
Have a good day and well done on losing weight :T1 -
Have a nice weekend T.
I own an iron....
My ironing board is in great condition... looks like it hardly gets usedDebt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.1 -
Hi MacG, glorious sun in London which made for a great day. Much cultural appreciation performed, with a gallery and a museum and the kids loved it. Great to see them together now that they are older - no bickering just enjoying each others company.
I would love to have place in Greenwich - however DH says we could buy a five bed house for price of a 2 bed terrace - I think it would be great though but I have a romantic side which is picturing walks by the Thames, popping to buy fresh bread on a Sunday morning etc - just imagine all the theatre trips - love it.
Yep definitely losing weight and looking forward to a quick run with DH and dog in the morning.
Off to out my feet up after 11532 steps today! Not that I was counting...:rotfl:

Evening, I will have to catch up on diaries early in the morning before I get up as I feel a little brain dead now. We did a quick shop on the way home and including a cover and plastic screen thing, for my phone it came to £38. I added some yoggys to take me to the £40 to gain the £5 off my next shop and as I had forgotten to pick them up whilst shopping, it saves me another trip out.
That's it now too tired to do anything else. On the spends front, tube, food, ice creams (yes I know it's January) £33 all in, so a reasonable cost and the reduction in my shopping offset the day. :j:j

Jeez Tilly, your thread moves fast, 3 pages to catchup on since I last postedTilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »Evening ATT, how sad is this, but most of that sounded quite normal !!!!! What sort of life do we lead and isn't so much of it directed by the US.
I ran my first team meeting today and I was laughing to myself so much at one point, I very nearly lost it. I listened to a guy for about 10 minutes, thought I would go with the 'give them enough rope' scenario and in the end I couldnt bear it. I had to recap so that the rest of us could understand and that's when I had to pull myself together - complete garbage - I was very kind though, as he must be feeling quite vulnerable. However, I did wonder at one point whether I was the only one speaking English and whether we could keep sentences simple, succinct - lets see if that works.
Anyway, onwards and upwards - hope you are feeling on top of the world - I think you said you are away for a few days with work, so hopefully you have relaxed in a lovely bath, glass of wine etc - if not, let me just pretend you have so I can imagine its me.
Night Tilly x
Indeed Tilly, Indeed, however, as long as your meeting was impactful and you ended up with a POAP I'm sure all will be well :rotfl:
I'm afraid I didn't manage the glass and the wine, a did have a liqueur coffee, does that count 8:)Hi Tilly
Glad things are back to normal today. Think your package sounds good - aim high!
ATT I LOVED your post :rotfl:
Glad you enjoyed it Macgirl, I must confess I enjoyed myself far too much writing it and the scarey thing is I could have gone on much longer.OMG you work at my place ATT :rotfl:

Just writing to the chairman of BT to provide some customer feed back on the lack of ownership and customer service. I like having arrived at the age when a letter of complaint is a delight (or rather an email).
Tilly is on the rampage
Well done on that reduction Tilly, it's a sizeable amount per month. I laughed at your reference to arriving at an age where a letter of complaint is a delight, me too! To Froggy and LP, well done on those complaints, you need to do more :rotfl::rotfl:Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »Hi CathT, thanks for your kind words. I am excited about my new role and certainly getting stuck in. I am normally a very optimistic person, but I guess we all have moments of hanging our heads. Not to worry though, it is back up on my shoulders and I have had a very good couple of days. Although boy do the weeks go quickly.
I am going to eBay my iPhone and they seem to command good resale values - I had thought about just getting GiffGaff sim, but the deal I have now works out better for my needs. Good luck and push hard as there are some good deals to be had but you definitely have to hunt them out.
Have a good week Tilly x
Have you looked at some of the phone selling sites Tilly, there are a lot out there but some have very poor reviews. In the last 18 months I've used Mopay, Mazuma and Sainsburys and had really excellent service from them all in every respect. I actually wrote a letter of thanks to Mopay complimenting them on their speed, processes and communication and they came back to me thanking me and asking my permission to use as a reference on their site which I thought was quite nice tooMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Let's see what happens, but a recording of the last call with the contact centre was included - and we did tell them we were recording it. DH didn't say 'for training purposes' but was oh so tempted.
Mr Tilly played the recording back to me and it was quite comical. I do feel it is disheartening though, the guys in the contact centre will have fully documented processes and procedures, yet clearly don't follow them consistently.
Best wishes Tilly x
That's great Tilly, glad you are feeling much better.
Re the recording of the call, I've only done that once when a situation with a well known mobile provider had reached ridiculous proportions, I commented on the call that it would also have been nice to receive an apology and the response I got was - and I quote - "well I can apologise to you now but you know it won't be sincere" I literally could not believe my ears, I've always thought I would have loved to have seen the faces of the people who listened to that recording when reviewing my complaint, it's amazing how people don't feel it appropriate to apologise as a matter of course and also amazing how far a simple 'im sorry' goes to helping the matterMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Yep, that's what I love. I leave out the jumble of clothes on a Monday and they are returned to me all beautifully pressed and on hangers on Tuesday! :rotfl:
Yes, I do have to hand over a little cheque , but boy is it worth it!
Good news on the BT butt-kicking and Shred progress :T
My friend does this too.. however one morning she left the clothes out and they disappeared before the ironing lady could get to them!! she's not sure if someone just stole them or the charity people came and took them as a very nice donation! :rotfl:
Tilly, great to see you positive again.. you do so much in your week!! You've reminded me about reducing my Orange package too so thank you..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.1 -
Hiya ATT, why on earth when speaking with people representing companies, would they speak to people like that - it's disgraceful. I was glad DH had advised them that he was taping the call and it must have made entertaining listening - it really was appalling service. However line seem stable and they are ringing daily with updates.
On the phone front, I need to get back to Katsu on the phone stuff also, and before that do need to price it up.
Well done on the BT annual line rental, it's amazing that these little things add up the way they do - I feel like I am discovering a new world with MSE.
Have a great week, and I know there was something else I was going to say to you but I have completely forgotten! What does that say about me - no, don't answer that.
