You are doing wonderfully Tilly, I agree your posts are very motivating. I might do a spending diary as it helps to know where the pennies go, but I am so rubbish at keeping up with it, I don't seem to find time in the day
Although we aren't exactly overpaying, building up the savings is addictive! I am in love with my spreadsheets! :smileyhea
Have a good day!1 -
We have had so much rain, it's like picking ready washed salad from the garden. Dogs, cats, kids and adults all fed up of the rain
Dogs don't want to go out, cats are peering and then deciding its too wet. Quite funny to watch but a bit mad for 11 June.
No money updates - boring ticking over period.

Good morning, can't say it's a great day but at least it isn't raining. Dog walk completed and they had a great old time running around.
Financials all up to date in terms of credit card receipts and checking off statements etc. Cashback card cash is building up slowly which will result in an OP in February 2013. I did a couple of surveys for Shop and Sca@ and the points have been credited already so a £10 Amazo@ voucher requested, received and applied. Any money building in A is going towards Christmas gifts. Struggling with surveys as we are getting screened out of so many it's frustrating.
Thanks to HappyNow
(I may be thanking the wrong person here so must check) I need to pop to Morrisdaughters and buy chick peas, tinned toms. I use loads of these in the winter, (love Moroccan cooking
) so at 20p a time worth stocking up now.
Vegetable lasagne for dinner this evening, served with rain washed lettuce (don't worry I will wash again

Have a good day Tilly. You sound all up to date! I know what you mean about the boring wait in between pay days. I'm wishing my life away for payday I'm sure of it!
For once - there is a ball of yellow light in the sky outside here....does anyone know what it is????:D:T1 -
Morning Ammonite, the council must have left the street lights on accidentally
:):)
We have zero sun, just more greyness - that doesn't sound at all upbeat - sorry
The weather has been so miserable we spent an hour or so last night talking about our next set of plans, once we are MF. I love having something to look forward to and as I have posted before, I really enjoy change, which makes for a lot of fun in some respects. As I get older, and the wise people around me help me to learn more, I also am beginning to appreciate the benefits of taking time out and stopping.
No idea where that all came from - brain to fingers without thinking much so I guess it needed to come out
Have a great day and enjoy the yellow stuff in the sky

Surely you mean you talked and Mr T listened/nodded/groaned/held head in hands at appropriate places

I can confirm we have sun and blue skies!!!!!!! I know what you mean about the weather, we were so fed up yesterday of grey miserable skies! I was glad to go out.
Lunching out today again, really enjoying this life of relaxation! Could get used to it. Early retirement perhaps? (As I'm not yet 30, I fear this is a pipe dream too far!)1 -
Morning tilly
grey here too
wish the sun would come out!!
ammonite- I also enjoy life of relaxation and would love to retire by the time Im 30! :rotfl: maybe we should start a thread? (I have less then a year so am thinking it might be a bit unrealistic! :rotfl:)
Tilly- your garden veg sounds lovely! I love the idea of going to pick salad for the days meals, spent over £1 in mrt's on salad which might last us 2/3 days and for the summer it really adds up when we eat it most days!! we have some indoor space so thinking whether I could grow any salad leaves there.... hmmm....
another one wishing life away between paydays- sad really , must get a life!

Hi GG, LOL at your comments re Mr Tilly. He's wondering whether you are bugging the house? To be fair it was a joint discussion, I promise. There were no mentions of favours, bribery on my part at all. Just wondering how 'off the grid' it's possible to live. :j
The lower our ongoing costs are, the further our £ go - ever the optimist.
I think I should whisper this - I made an OP of £2.03 today - ssssshhhhhh
. I felt a compulsion to do something to offset the greyness.
Work is also completely mental so any plans for very early retirement, bring them on :T2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Same here. We had a VERY long meeting today (3.5hrs ) which 4 of us got through by knowing we were going out for lunch afterwards. We sat & moaned and worked out our redundancy, but I need another 4 years 3 months, as you may know
.
I'm too lazy for off grid .
Sun is out :j. Windows need cleaned :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
