Hiya Cath, sounds like it may have bolted. Rocket is similar to lettuce in that you can cut a few times cutting, but does have a short life. Best thing to do is plant a row every couple of weeks and then you can be eating some and growing some at the same time :)

    Good luck.

If you have 3 Halifa@ accounts, may have a go. Did you have any problems or just opened them all on line? Thx

    Tilly x

Thank you, my method of planting and hoping for the best didn't pay off then!! :D

Re: the banking, I think we opened a joint and one in my name originally and then I opened one for DH after discovering this forum. I don't even leave the money in the account, switch it around straight away.

  • Hi Cah, good luck with having another go a rocket. I tend to plant rocket, coriander at the same time using short rows (under 1m long), as I use both in salads, it allows enough for salads most days.

Can you believe the weather

  • Good morning, we have woken to storms and rain. Frantic day at work yesterday and I came home and went straight to bed. I felt faint/wobbly and that sounds like too much adrenaline coursing round, so thought it better to relax. I slept for 12 hours

Have woken to start a new day and to receive a voice mail from a good friend of mine who is suffering. She is accepting too much work and is struggling to say no. The type of conversation required is better performed by a counsellor or coach, as it's a hard message to hear from a friend. I will call her this morning and see how the land lies.

Working from home today, home made pizza for supper, with salad. A little ironing to be fitted in between some calls. I want to finish on time today and my last call finishes at 5pm, so I will be logging off.

I missed the bike ride yesterday due to feeling quite ropey but we are off right after work today, come rain or shine.

Have a great day. Tilly x

Woken to a bright sky and no rain :j

No lodgers next two weeks as one is on holiday and one studying. Money in and no guests, can't be bad. Off to L!dl for a small shop, fruit, veg and a chicken.

I have put aside £60 to cover the next two weeks essential shopping - freezer and larder well stocked and veg growing well so should be fine. Thinking about this, I won't need that much so will OP remainder.

I had another £co payment so that was OPd, and I have started OPing lodgers food money. As they used to pay cash I used it for incidental spends, but as they are both BACS transferring it's going straight off the mortgage.

I haven't ordered from Superdru& before but they have some offers on things DD needs, so will use TCB and have a go.

    Have a great day, Tilly

Just loaded the car up to go to the tip whilst on route to L!dl - looks like Mr T has had a quiet sort out. A boot and car full - where does it all come from.

Hope youre feeling better and your friend is ok, I think its easy to get stuck into doing way too much and /or taking on too much and have certainly got into situations where I notice it only when as you say I have way too much excess addrenalin racing round the body!

Sleep and work from home sounds like just the ticket!:)

ps love that you are counting down till xmas already :rotfl:

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Morning TYO, feeling back to normal, the sleep did me good. I am fortunate that I love what I do but there are some days when it becomes overwhelming. I did the right thing.

I am keeping a watching eye on Christmas, I think the weather isn't helping as yesterday was quite autumnal I thought - in June :eek:

Hiya GG, I will be in the sun for Christmas :T. There had better be sun in the UK over the next few weeks, but until then I will have to keep counting down.

Tip, shopping, unpacking, washing finished. Fridge stocked with beer for the footie and I am going to have a lovely time cooking this afternoon. DD wants to fit a run in this afternoon as well which I don't feel up to as I did catch a chill. She may have to take a dog :)

Looking forward to Germany vs Portugal tonight, wish I was in Portugal to watch, but will have to manage with Bratwurst, German mustard and chicken piri piri so that we cover both sides :)

Have a good day, Tilly x
