Good morning, Regular saver topped up again with FD. Monthly sweep so I plan for that in the budget. Four more payments and that's complete so it will be OPd in October including interest at 8%.
Monthly transfer which is saved to transfer to Portugal has occured. We transfer quarterly and it costs £10 which saves us £65 over a quarter, plus get a better conversion rate.
That's the last saving type activities until payday. I did transfer the £p to make my bank account round numbers and the mortgage dropped by £2.21 :rotfl:
Off for a dog walk shortly and working from home so will get the washing finished.
DSs bedroom is driving me mad at the moment, what is it about boys and mess

A gruelling week at work and a FAB long weekend to look forward to.
Bargainous fillet steak, salad from the garden and spicy potato wedges for dinner, with ice cream made from left over cream, bits of chocolate which needed using, and a little custard, again left overs. Mmmmm
All the washing is finished but no ironing. I had hoped to have a gap but it never appeared. That will have to wait for early Sunday morning.
I managed to dry the washing on the line but it's threatened rain all day, and I didn't really think it would dry - fortunately it has.
Have a long, icy Pimms b the side of me and intend having a soak n the bath before cooking the dinner.
Have a great evening and hope everyone has an opportunity to relax, 'kick back' (too many US calls today sorry
) and enjoy the weekend.

I wish I lived with your family Tilly, your meals always sound so nice!!! (as soes the Pimms lol!):D
Have been following (lurking:o) on your diary for a couple of weeks now and have read it from the beginning. I don't know where you get all your energy from! Your get up and go and positive out look are very motivational.
I haven't got to the bottom of my ironing pile in over 6 months (and there is ony me in the house:o) so you put me to shame. Maybe reading about your ironing will give me the kick I need to get stuck into mine....but I don't think so to be honest:o.
Take care.

Ayeshalush, thanks so much for stopping by. Having a diary is a big help - once I have said I am doing something in a post, I know I would feel bad if I didn't do it

My job is full on most of the time, so it means I tend to work flat out. That gets you into a cycle of doing, not leaving. I am no way perfect, if you've read my diary (I can't believe you read it from the beginning
) then you will see I have the odd job which I don't want to do.
You might like reading the Fly Lady thread. That's been my approach at home for years, but I hadn't read it before MSE, it was interesting to see it has a name. Little and often seems to work for us.
I will check but I think I stopped by your new diary last night :T.
Have a food day and I look forward to exchanging recipes  both Mr T and I love cooking and it's a joy to make something from very little.
Enjoy the day,it's raining here sadly

Good morning, I can't believe we slept in . We had both wanted to walk the dogs early but that will have to wait as we are off to Mr T. I have some vouchers which expire and I am not missing out :rotfl:
I received £25 shopping vouchers from SSM in the pst yesterday, completely forgotten so that was a lovely surprise. I now have £75 of vouchers to spend in Argo$. I must look out for one of their offers where you get £5/£10 voucher back as I want to buy something for the garden, which is about £90. May as well make the best of the deal if I can :T
There is one job in the garden which neither Mr T or I want to - clear out the pile of junk beside the shed and fence. No idea how it has become such a dumping ground but it's going to be finished today. I want that space back so I can store compost, pots etc. I am pretty certain there is room for a small stage, so I could do my potting somewhere. We will see today
Pouring with rain which is a shame but my salad leaves will be very happy and it saves me watering.
I have a money matter for a relative to deal with today, so I will post later to confirm its completed. I don't want that sitting over my head - its a weight I can do without.
Will have to go for a walk/run with the dogs later. Plus we have volunteering to do today.
That's it for now - have a great day, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Side of the shed is finished, and DH has taken the rubbish to the tip. Just one financial task to do for relative but as I haven't stopped since my first post today, I intend putting my feet up :T2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

I have just finished a long post and lost it:eek:
Thanks Unhappy Shopper for jogging my memory, I have been accepted on a Fairy trial. As I have just finished a BzzA one, that was good timing.
So sad that it's raining, we are off to a picnic and I feel so sorry for the organisers. We will be going regardless and if I have to sit in the rain with a Pimms, then so be it. 60 years has to be marked :T
I have a stack of ironing which I am just about to start. All the beds were changed on the same day this week (normally staggered), and the pile is looking at me, menacingly :eek:
Looking forward to a body brush, salt scrub then shower as my gift for finishing the ironing

3/4 of the way through the pile and caved in, I need breakfast
. Will finish straight afterwards and then have a pampering session. Rarely have the time to do that and it will be much appreciated.
Mr T is doing some baking for the picnic at the moment with delicious smells travelling up the stairs mmmmmm.

Just back in from the street party. The cold got the better of me in the end but we all had a great time and it was lovely to see people having a good time, despite the weather.
Hope you are all enjoying the jubilee festivities - Olympic parties will be the next no doubt - best wishes Tilly x
PS, ironing complete, pampering session complete and dinner made ready for this evening, I cannot believe that at the beginning of June I am cooking warming dinners, but sadly I am.2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Evening, goodness it's wet here tonight  I don't think I need to water this evening, but will dive and and water the toms and chillis in the little green house.
Off to a family lunch tomorrow and had wanted to do some gardening for one of the relatives but it is likely to be too wet
.
No money activities until after lodgers money arrives and that's just to add to the CC pot. Looking forward to payday in a couple of weeks and then we are back on track. :T
