All your fruit and veg sounds wonderful!

I am determined too that we only spend the amount of money we absolutely require this month. Don't worry about one month OP being a bit lower, it really is just one month :) You are doing so very well!

Lodgers money will stay in the bank account this month rather than being OPd. Do remind me that it's only 1 month like this then back to normal from payday in June. It's a little disheartening to know I can't OP as much but we had always known May was going to be a bad month.

Don't be disheartened - remember this time last year not OPing was the norm EVERY month, regardless of what the social calendar was. You've had a great month, controlled costs and not gone in overdraft so well done you :T.

    Onwards and downwards :D.

    GG :)

Hi Ammonite, GG and Greent, thanks for your comments and GG you are right, this time last year we would have been permanently OD and now we are in a far better place.

Life is changing in so many ways right now and I am loving it. I know people often find change a challenge, but I thrive on that next adventure, which has made me realise something. I had a great talk with a fellow MSEer the other day and their views are the same as my husbands - it made me realise that it is my love of change, trying new things etc that drives me, both career (no two weeks are the same) and home. Once I realised that it enabled me to think of why and what that means for me and I need to do some quiet thinking. I always challenge the status quo but in my home life, I need and want more stability now. My desire for change probably won't go away as I think part of that is down to parenting and some inherited traits, however, I can incorporate change in different ways - no more now as I need to get my head round it, but it's good news and has taken a huge weight from my shoulders.

Have made a big tabbouleh salad for dinner with chicken shish tawook (not sure of spelling) and platter of roast peppers, onions and garlic mmmmmmmm.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Hi Radish, wouldn't that be lovely :) an MSE gathering.

Dinner was delicious and as the chicken was a bargainous one from MrT I reckon dinner probably cost about 50p each :). Admittedly all the herbs were from the garden which saves a fortune, especially as you need quite a lot to make the tabbouleh.

I had intended doing my menu plan for June this evening but we ate outside with a bottle of wine and music - dogs were going loopy playing in the garden.

Have a good night Tilly x

SSM is SexySadoMasocism, a well dodgy site Tilly goes on that give vouchers for em...... favours .

OK = it's really www.supersavvyme.co.uk - a review etc website that usually has a few downloadable vouchers, mainly toiletries & cleaning products & occasionally great mail voucher offers. Not as exciting an answer but much more :money:.

  • Morning GG, can't you sleep? Sun is out but very hazy today, off with the dogs in a mo and air smells fab :)

Maybe SSM would like to strike out in a different market place, sounds like a money spinner for them......

Just realised, I bet you are up early because that was your last sleep? Bon voyage.........
