Keeping my fingers crossed for the safe return of Ruaridgh. Dogs are pretty resilient Sazzy, if anything he has probably found a warm shed or garage nearby, and has been curled up asleep. I am sure he will come wandering back home as if nothing has happened, although probably full of himself due to going for a lovely wander on his own. :D My 10 year old Jack Russell went for a wander, when we had him, after he got spooked by the builders and scooted out the back gate. I was frantic and was driving around the neighbourhood looking for him. After 6 hours the little wotsit wandered home looking pleased with himself.. And I am sure this is what Ruaridh will do.

Just a thought but do you have him insured? As the insurance company will pay for posters etc.. Also they will put appeals out etc.. They normally have cover included up to about £300, if you do have him insured.

Keeping fingers crossed, please do let us know as soon as you have any news of him. Hugs xxx

Thanks everyone. I've been out and about again. There was talk of a black lab being seen down the harbour and caravan park, so scooted down there. Nothing there, but was encouraged to find that when I gave someone a flyer they said ''oh we saw this on Facebook' which means the word is getting out.

A Northern newspaper phoned me also earlier wanting to know all about it The Press and Journal. Think they want to do a story on how the community has come together- I also told them how the suggestion for the group came from MSE. Had to mention you in there. I don't care what angle they're presenting it from- as long as they get the word out there.

No - he wasn't insured, he was 11, so too old to get insured, but the people at doglost and lost-dogs- scotland made them up for me and I've printed them off, they're all over town.

Once again- thank you all. Between us, we'll get my old boy home. One way or another

    xx
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)
  • Awwww, Sazzy - that's fantastic if the paper will do an article! Also fantastic that more and more people are aware.

Hoping there's good news soon xx

Good old P&J, I remember it well from my holidays is Deeside :T

Older people don't always have internet or get out and about much but they will still get the P&J so this article will help to catch them too.

He is probably sitting in someones front room, being fed tit bits now with no idea how frantic mum is and how many people are worrying about him. Please god the newspaper article may reach the people who know where he is. xxx
