sazzy I have beeen looking up all the animal shelters and rescues in and around your area, has any of them been informed?

If not is it ok if I get into contact with them and pass on your details?

Hi Chris- that'd be grand. I have been in touch with Munlochy Animal shelter, Brumlae Brae and Newlands of Fleenas already.

I don't care who has my details as long as the word about my boy is out.

Although there's some flipping fireworks still going off tonight, so could drive him deeper underground :(

Right, I have contacted Grantown Dog Rescue and KWK9 rescue. Tomorrow if need be i will contact a few others i have found ( its a bit late now)

I know its also a long shot but there's a few cats protection centres nearby i will give them a ring in the morning, you never know we might strike lucky. xxx

sazzy this is your thread and we have all chosen (and want) to help you get through this and do all we can to bring rory home.

so dont even think you are moaning - i would be more worried if you didnt post anything !!!

i really do think he is either freaked out and hiding (in which case he will come out to look for you eventually and will make his way home or be spotted)

or someone has taken him in...

now if rory is as you describe - a loving old pooch - the family may want to keep him :o
however once the word gets to this family they will do the right thing!!

you are getting amazing advice on here from people and the more the word is spread the better:
would anyone really notice a dog strolling along on its own unless you were looking for one??
i am miles n miles away n still caught myself looking for him whilst driving :o

    HE WILL COME HOME!!!

Sazzybum, I echo what the others have said. Any loving pet owner would feel the same as you, and any loving pet owner would be willing to let the owner of a lost dog blub all over them. I once gave a hug to a complete stranger who was in tears as she was putting up posters about her lost dog (she got her dog back) and I was in tears just because she was! It runs deep, our love for our dogs. God knows that I would be tearing my hair out if it happened to me. If I was in your area I would help search but I'm not, so all I can do is say a prayer.

    Take care xxxxxxxxx

I have a feeling somebody has taken him in, and will return him when they see the posters:D:D

    Hi Sazzy

This is a long thread, and I havn't read it all, so somebody might have already mentioned this, but have you considered contacting your Local Radio Station to do a plea?

I do hope you find him soon xx

    me too candy.

and i think they may think he is a stray (no collar) and want to keep him considering he is so affectionate... they will obviously feel they are doing a good thing

which is why the word needs to be pushed pushed and pushed !!!
these people need to know he actually has a loving family who love him and are missing him.

we found a dog when i was little - i begged my mam to let us keep her. only she made the decision to inform the police. broke my heart but i know now she did the right thing.
some people may not hav the morals to contact the police - until they see/hear all the quests for his find xx
