Zaksmum, I put a poster on my front door so the postman would see it.

Thanks to the generosity of spirit of my colleague who is actually on holiday this week, but is coming in for me, I will be able to have the afternoon off in order to do more searching.

Brilliant idea about the postie too!

Awwww what a lovely person:D wishing you best in your search.

Not a word, nothing. I phoned the council and the police again- they must be sick of me by now, but nothing.

Trying to keep positive that if a body hasn't been reported then it must be a good thing eh? Sorry- but I didn't know how else to put it.

May I ask though- when did everyone elses hopes start fading? I was so confident this morning that someone would hand him in, and now...well you know.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

No, sazzy, don't give up. It's early days, please believe he will come home.

I can only echo what Zaksmum has said - please don't give up.

Hopefully if there's no more beeping fireworks tonight (there were loads here again last night too :() if he is hiding somewhere safe he'll feel like coming out. (((hugs)))

another thought...we've spread the word via computer mainly so far. What about someone taking him in that's NOT online, maybe even housebound and doesn't go out?

Round here there's a "dog woman", bit of an oddball but loves dogs, lives alone in a rambling old house in the park, doesn't go out much. If she sees ANY dog on it's own, she "rescues" it and takes it into her house.

She's had seven dogs at one time.

Means well, but has obviously prevented those dogs from going home or being sighted by anyone searching for them.

Sazzy, is there anyone in your area like this? If there is, go and knock, ask them if they've seen Rory. An elderly person may have taken him in for a bit of company and won't know he's being searched for if they don't have a computer.

If anything bad would have happened, the police would have notified you by now. Stay strong!

    Yes Misstress- thanks though. http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=34153

I don't know anyone round about here who would do that sort of thing.. a chap next door nicks my cats all the time, but not dogs.

I honestly AM trying to be positive. And I don't also want to take up everyones time in moaning to them- on here, on FB and in RL. A chap I work with had his day off today, and he's spending it co-ordinating a search. It's so heartening.

I go out in the car and pop back because Bruce gets carsick so can't take him with me unless we're down the river or woods. Little legs.

Hope Ruaridh gets back home soon because Bruce found a dead stoat to play with this morning, whereas he usually is running about with the big boy. And yes- he brought in to show me in the house :(

If the postie is an animal lover (or just has a heart, come to think of it!), would they be willing to pop flyers through doors that they visit while doing their rounds? It might reach people who maybe haven't seen posters or online etc.
