I keep checking the last page of this thread daily hoping for some good news. Someone somewhere must know where your boy is. I only hope that someone had taken him in and will hand him in when they hear he is missing from his loving family, not abandoned. I would hate to think he is still on the run.

I'm not sure if this has already been done/suggested and the thread is too long to read back on but I do remember a post from you (Sazzy) stating the supermarket/s were unwilling to put up a poster of Ruar. Have you thought of visiting Supermarkets and Retail Parks and putting the posters of Ruar under car window wipers. People will be travelling from all different directions to get bits of shopping in on their journey or on their lunch break from work and it could hopefully bring new leads. Thinking of you and keep hoping Ruar returns home soon x

Vicx, that's a brilliant idea! Sazzy, I'd be willing to donate some money to help with the printing costs, if it would help at all.

The three of you are in my thoughts, as always.

I second that ... Great Idea!

I have another thought if it has not already been done/suggested and if its possible. Where I live, there is a facebook page created by someone local who reports all different news in the area (I think it's someone with too much time on their hands and/or wants to be a journalist, however it's very handy and he's made himself famous). If someone wrote on the page wall reporting a dog missing he would post the information to let everyone know - He has over 30 thousand fans on the page so it's a great help to spread the word to a lot of people.
I know you have a facebook group for Ruar but there maybe a facebook page or two created for your local area which you could post the details of Ruar to spread the word even further. Sorry if this has already been done/suggested. I'm just sitting here thinking of more ways to make Ruars disappearance known.

    Thanks again all.

I print off posters/flyers at work, so it doesn't cost me anything- but thank you once again for your generosity. We tend to stick flyers under windscreen wipers when we're out- I'm surprised we haven't been arrested by now! But we'll be out again this weekend.

Vic- there is a local chap with a lot of Nairn followers- 'A Gurn from Nurn' and he's been blogging Ruars since he went missing. http://www.gurnnurn.com/ The chap is actually a friend on the group and has come up with a few more obscure places that no one thought of-and has been a great supporter.

It'll be three weeks tomorrow, and it's getting more difficult to think of places to hunt, but we'll keep going.

Definitely think this thread (well the ideas) should become a sticky -the ideas have been brilliant!
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

Just a thought - has anyone sent this story in to the Daily Mail? I'm pretty confident they would put something like this on their website.

Because they are always putting stories about animals on there, there's at least one every day. The Daily Mail are a lot less 'selective' about what they put on their site than other newspapers, and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Anyway surely it's worth trying rather than just saying 'oh i doubt it' and not bothering??
