Has the industrial estate been checked...Balnakeith I think it's called? Any empty units or open or accessible containers?

    Hi Sazzy

Just thought I would let you know im still emailing rescue/rehoming centres across the UK, just in case Ruars was found by someone driving through (maybe in the middle of the night) and handed in somwhere out of your area the following morning ... I know that this is kind of unlikely, but I thought that it is worth trying.

I think one of the best ideas was that of the Sniffer Dogs ... Did anything come of that?

Don't think so. Sazzy asked on the Doglost website how to go about organising a sniffer dog - one was used to find another lost dog in Scotland - but I don't think she got a reply. It was the Doglost Scotland co-ordinator called Sable who wrote about her experience of watching the sniffer dog at work that day. the dog did get the scent of the lost dogs - two Jack Russells - and indicated they were underground as the owner had suspected, having got into rabbit holes and warrens.

Such a shame, but maybe there is another way of pursuing this (not that I can think of one at this moment) ... Its getting to that stage where you would feel you wanted to knock on the door of every single residence in Nairn!

Did you know there are 11 churches in Nairn?

Well tomorrow morning I will be ringing all of them, (no email addresses) lets see if they are willing to give out a plea during their services.
    That's a fab idea:D:D

No- they never got back to me about the sniffer dogs, I'll email admin again today of doglost.

Zaksmum- I work up in Balmakeith Industrial Estate (at Capgemini) and I look every day on my way to work, and from work..everyone's used to me shouting on the old boy now when I'm walking, and we all tend to wander to the disused buildings in case he makes his way there. He's been to my work before a few times when Sean got home before me, and he'd take him a walk to come over and get me -we live 5 mins away from there.

I didn't think of the churches either Chris- thank you.. I've lived here for 20 years and didn't know there was 11!

Jaquie- thanks, I'd covered the ones within a 50 mile radius-although the nearest one -Munlochy steadfastly refuse to answer their phone or return my voicemails.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

sazzy my son was at Munlochy fairly recently and he doesn't think there was any dog there resembling Ruaridh but I will see if he can go in again just to double check. You never know. Only thing is, he's doing 12 hour shifts so it would be the weekend before he could get in I think.
