Fireworks - LOST DOG thread now, not chat.

There is a story on the BBC news webpage about a dog which was found 58 days after being lost. The reunion between dog and master was engineered by a pet detective agency. Here is the link to the BBC page: link Maybe this is another avenue that could be explored? Obviously they have lots of experience, and they could build upon what has already been done. Just a thought....

(I have to admit I check this thread several times a day - I am of no use in the actual search since I'm in NI and so have stayed out of it, but I would be overjoyed to hear that Ruairi got home safely).

It's a heart warming story, I think some people who have never had a dog just don't realise how much they mean to their owners.

just checking in for the latest news, still got all extremities crossed - we still had fireworks going off last night, my dog not happy, wished they'd legislate for fireworks on the night only, & only by organised events - chin up sazzy x

WISH THEY WOULD BAN THEM ALL TOGETHER
i am just checking in and wondered as anybody got any ideas i have checked and next time inverness play at home is a couple of weeks, nothing going on in area were we could get them to put a message over loud speakers

well, personally I'm with you on that one but I think the families without dogs(& cats) would put up a fight, I think November 5th only would be a compromise, & if the display is held at an organised event - our local one is on the headland on the beach, at least its away from the residential areas. I picked up quite a few spent fireworks from the garden before mutt features came to investigate

I agree ban them...but there again how many times have we all signed petitions for just that and it never seems to get anywhere :mad:

Saz...Ive replied to your PM ....and I agree with the rest - conserve your energy and focus on finding the big fella - no worries on replying/thanking anyone as im sure none of us can imagine what torment you are going through ....

Stay strong Sazzy and ill be loitering behind the scenes - if i hear anything though you will of course be the first to know.

Still thinking and hoping for the big man. Someone has to know where he is and they will get him home in the end.

Your argument is valid, however this thread relates to sazzybum and her precious dog Ruars, who is missing. Gosh, how bossy am I?
I feel for all you're saying relating to fireworks, but please keep this thread open for sazz and Ruars and not let us drift off course.

A new thread open to the rights or wrong re fireworks relating to pets would be very interesting. Hold me back ... I hate the darn things.
