Nothing from the article in the gazette-apart from a woman saying she'd seen a stray black lab last Tuesday- but that was the one we investigated and found it was a female. She also said she was going to try get their sister paper for Grantown on Spey to print something, but couldn't guarantee it.

I'm just so baffled as to how he can just vanish! My mind keeps going back to that first night (God- that seems so long ago) and when I phoned the SSPCA that night all they said was 'we only deal with injured dogs' and hung up without taking any details. The girl the next day was much nicer-taking details and saying there was nothing, and they've been brilliant since then-but what if he slipped through the net that night? What if he was hurt on the road, and with no details they just..well you know..

I'm honestly not being negative-just have to think of possible 'reasons why he's vanished' scenarios. Just so very odd.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

No- they never got back to me about the sniffer dogs, I'll email admin again today of doglost.

Zaksmum- I work up in Balmakeith Industrial Estate (at Capgemini) and I look every day on my way to work, and from work..everyone's used to me shouting on the old boy now when I'm walking, and we all tend to wander to the disused buildings in case he makes his way there. He's been to my work before a few times when Sean got home before me, and he'd take him a walk to come over and get me -we live 5 mins away from there.

I didn't think of the churches either Chris- thank you.. I've lived here for 20 years and didn't know there was 11!

Jaquie- thanks, I'd covered the ones within a 50 mile radius-although the nearest one -Munlochy steadfastly refuse to answer their phone or return my voicemails.
Can't believe Munlochy are refusing to answer their phone or return voicemails. Have they got something to hide????

Just had to share this. I started phoning around the local Churches this morning and this one (Auldearn & Dalmore Parish Church) had the wrong phone number with it.

Well I spoke to a lovely man ( I wish I knew who he was, and he gave me the correct number) and I explained why I was ringing, he knew all about Ruaridh. It was so good to speak to a stranger who knew straight away who i meant.

I just wanted to share this to let sazzy know that people are keeping their eyes peeled, and even a wrong number knew who I meant after only 10 seconds of chatting.

I just might try some more wrong numbers this afternoon xxxx

chris we could start at the a's and work to the z's but would get done for cold calling
sorry about half the post earlier i was rushing at work to post and never finished it
what i was going to say is rory is all over the internet so why has'nt he been found?
i still think he is living rough at some warehouse or somebody visiting put him in a car and took him to a different area, we need to look elsewhere but where?
we need to think what we would do if we found an older dog? you would first think its been thrown out and want to give it a home but then i would worry about vets bills, so by now be having second thoughts , so what about a fresh email to dogs homes etc and go along the lines we think its been taken not lost !
pdsa have we connected them ?

I did think of looking up takeaways in the area that deliver and giving them a ring? Also another long shot, local farms?

I am just putting what seems like daft ideas into the search bar and seeing what it chucks up. Nothing to lose, but all to gain.

I am with you on the remailing though. I reread this thread the other day just to refresh my memory that helped. I am just trying to think of obscure things now. I just think we are missing something, but what it is hasnt come to us yet.

We need a newspaper such as the Sun/mirror/star to run this story. Can we sort out a mass email drop between us all? Get a wider coverage

Sazzy, if you think Munlochy are deliberately not answering the phone to you personally, for whatever reason, they must have Caller Display to screen your number. If you dial 141 before dialling their number, it hides your number from them so will show up as number withheld...they won't know it's you then.

I honestly don't think Munlochy are deliberately not answering. I know they were over run with animals and were very busy. They have their hands full most of the time feeding and walking the dogs. I suspect they tend more to 'caring' rather than 'admin' iyswim.
