I got this offer, phoned up in the 14 day cancellation period and said i wasn't happy with the phone. I was offered the line rental free for the full 12 months, £30 credited to my account and another £30 voucher. You can’t say fairer than that.
Anyone know where you can get a cheap 3 handset (or 3 compatible) with Bluetooth (on eBay, PAYG etc)?
Thanks :j0 -
I've just sent off for this offer. I already have a contract phone with Orange so this one will be used in place of our home phone. It works out rediculously cheap if you only use the talk time and free texts and not the video or othere facilities.
Does anyone know what other facilities it comes with that are already set up and for which you have to pay extra for? As when I was ordering, I noticed it says something about cancelling these if you don't want to be charged.Sexkitten

you need to cancel the insurance, 3 months free then £5.99 after that. thats the only thing you need to cancel.
no sign of the £40 from /theworks.
the phone is ok but i have had some dropped calls and even when it shows full reception bars trying to ring it results in a message 'this phone is not available'. probably the 3 network having problems.0 -
When you click on the link at the begining of this thread, the £40 'theworks' offer shows on the left hand side of the screen. No mention of it through ordering though. I believe the offer was supposed to finish at the end of March, so will have to wait and see!
If I do get the £40 it will be a bonus but apart from that it is a pretty good deal anyway. You still get £10 for ordering online.Sexkitten

The works link is a continual offer that didn’t run out at the end of March. You get the £40 whichever phone you order.
It doesn’t show on the order and it didn’t show on the paperwork that came with my phone. When I called customer services to check, they told me it’s shown on my order as a “lead source” from the works web link and I will receive the money automatically within 40 days.
It does look like this £4.99 offer is going to run and run as it’s now on until the 30th April…
Hope this helps to clarify.0 -
After doing some investigating, it would seem this phone can't be unlocked that easily. You would need a data cable etc. but after looking around, if you go to:
https://www.unlockme.co.uk
they will do it for £8 including recorded delivery and insurance upto £500
Go to their forums and all info is there. Try using 'bugmenot' if you don't want to go through the procedure of registering. PM me if you want to know the signin/password.Sexkitten
