    a lesson to be learnt here always have a back up bank account with some money in it .....

  • It's funny that you guys are all moaning. Yesterday morning i signed in to online banking and it told me services would be offline. I had to click the box to acknowledge it but i never cared to check times. So it wasn't just something random it was "PLANNED"

    The times of maintenance were between approx 1am - 5am, if they had have told us that services were going to be down all day today then i would have no right to complain (and would have been more prepared for today) hth
    I got ham but i'm not a hamster.....

    Yes there has also been messages been displayed on ATMs for the last week or so :p

    funny that when i signed into internet banking yesterday morning (or anytime yesterday) i didn't see any notification or a check box....a failing on natwests part there i think

    I don't use ATM's and i guess 99% of these use other providers ATM's

    @anniemf2508 Yeah it was defo there. Looks like a failing in informing members i guess. Planned service shut down though just not good customer info to inform everyone.

    @lauraland "approx" is the key. They said approx not "Actual" Chances are during maintenance they noticed something not right and continued to work on it. Rather than leaving it and it going offline unexpectedly

    stresshead could you not ring the hospital and see if they can arrange transport .do taxi take cards could your mum not ring the taxi firm and pay over the phone or could you write the taxi firm a cheque.Is there a neighbour you could ask to run you in .

    I would imagine a lot of people don't have the funds to have a back up account with money in.
