Pinot, your weekend sounds like mine used to but I had 4 teenagers. Now four in their twenties and life is a bit quieter. The other parents are doing well on saving fuel. You must have used up a huge amount.

Good luck to DD1 with her exams. If she decides on A level Chemistry or Biology I may still have a selection of revision guides :D I am sorting through bookshelves and getting rid of lots.I have 3 copies of one biology revision guide.

I cant imagine what it would be like with 4 teenagers Pooh although I would love to have had more children .

DD1 is still in year 10 but they sit a GCSE paper for Biology, chemistry and Physics this year. I initially thought they were mocks, but apparently not they are the real thing. I believe they then take more modules next year dependent on results.

Thankyou for the offer, she has no plans to take A levels in the Sciences the moment, but if you have any English Language / Lit A level revision guides lying around I would be happy to take them off of your hands :D. Obviously I would pay for them.

Hope you and yours are well Pooh I haven't had a chance to catch up with you recently xx

  • Wow that's early for a GCSE, i hope it went well! DS1 goes into year 10 September I wonder if his school will be the same  ! We've already been told he was at GSCE level for maths but he's been in this new school a short while and I reckon he's already dropped behind (if not then just to where ever everyone else is) which is a shame as he was always well ahead with Maths.

    Have a good day :)

  • That weekend sounds mad. I have the madness of potential one Direction ticket purchasing to look forward to, and you are like me and do the bulk if not all of the car running around.
DDs are troublesome. Like moles. x
    Trying to shift that debt!

I remember you saying he was good at Maths, I really do hope he hasnt dropped behind. We asked the school for extension work for DD1 if she was finding something particularly easy. If you don't ask you don't get. Might be worth a thought. :D

Ooh One Direction, I took the girls to see them at a really tiny gig locally. as I was hanging on the phone to book the tickets all I could hear were thousands of screaming girls outside the theatre, the booking lady said she had worked there for 15 years and had never known such madness, and this was before the first album was released ! Good Luck with that one !

If I'm truly honest I think I am a control freak, I would rather drive them around, know exactly where they are, who they are with and that they will be home on time rather than leave it up to someone else. So some of the madness is probably my own making ! :o

I'm not sure it'll be worth it now. He's only at this school until July and then moves onto the new school in September. Which i'm hoping is more organised, cares a bit more and pushes a bit more! He's had homework about 5 times since starting the one he's at now  I know they are closing down but really there isn't any need to stop caring about these young teenagers futures :( !

Anyway moan over ;) if it comes to it I will go without food and pay for a tutor before exam time (i'd tutor him myself but maths/sciences not my strong point and they are what he's focussed on :o )

It's silly joke night, so here is one for you and your DDs

so three pigs go into a restaurant and sit at a table...

the waiter comes and asks for their drink orders...the first pig says PEPSI, the other says SPRITE, and the last one says LOTS and LOTS of water...

the waiter comes back with their drinks and asks for their food orders...the first pig says a hamburger, the other says a hotdog, and the last one says LOTS and LOTS of water...

the waiter comes back with their food and asks what they want for dessert...the first pig says a apple pie, the other says a banana split, and the last one says LOTS and LOTS of water...

the waiter comes back with their dessert and asks the third pig why he ordered LOTS and LOTS of water..

he says "Well somebody has to go wee-wee-wee all the way home
