LOL at all the people drying themselves with the hair dryer, i bet it's quite nice actually i always get freezing when I get out of the bath and shower
I didn't wait for the owl monitor as a lovely dfw'er on here sent me another monitor for free :T It was set up for ages but then the battery went so I have to re-do it! Think i will get on to it though as the electricity has jumped up since DS1 has been home from boarding school  ! Thanks for reminding mexx

My parents have a usage meter and they love looking to see if its is smiling at them or is sad. I am not sure if they all have smiley faces though.;)
I love charts and bar graphs. I am addicted to checking the charts on the spending diary to see where I am wasting money, so I am sure I would take great delight in hooking the meter up to the computer !
Little things please little minds and all that ! :rotfl:
I g00gled 'free 4minute shower monitor' and found a link that you selected your water supplier and could then choose any of the free items they have on offer. As well as the shower timer and toothbrush timer you could request pipe lagging and thingy to put in the cistern (I can't remember the other things). They didn't ask if we were on a meter or not and I've received an email confirming my free order so fingers crossed.

I remember that lovely DFW'er sending you the monitor . How kind our lovely friends are here.
I bet you really do notice the difference now that you have DS home. Hope he is nicely settled now at the new school, I really need to catch up with your diary amongst othersx

My OH dries himself with the haridryer  It makes m laugh every time he does it!! Apparently it is something alot of people do, they had a section devoted to it on the radio and loads of people called in owning up to doing it too :rotfl::rotfl:Crazy world.
That must make a really funny radio show ! I still cant quite get my head around it, I think I like DFWs idea of making the children run around like crazy to dry themselves bettwe, although my two are a bit too old for that now ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hmm I think I will have google later Alice ! I have the cistern thingy s, and the showers have the attachments on them that make the water run less fiercely or something. They are very loud and make a weird noise but use less water I believe. We have the timers as well, but DD1 just keeps turning it round and round each time the sand runs out. I think she is trying to convince her self she is being quick !! DD2 takes her Gingerbread man cake timer into the shower with her, sets it up on the loo seat and then jumps in ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Weekend update from me , is that I feel like a total mad crazy lady. I seriously haven't stopped. Finally sat down last night at 11pm , I ate my dinner standing up and also my lunch. I have decided this isn't funny anymore and things need to change !!;)
I'm not sure how or when, but I am determined that they will, but in the meantime while I try and conjure up a grand plan, I must dash again. DD2 needs ingredients for a Pizza she is making in school tomorrow which include Mozzarella and fresh basil , none of which I have sadly, so its off the supermarket for me then .
I will try and come back later. Take Care everyone xxxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

She does and she is a lovely cook so I am looking forward to it !
I remember when she cooked in Primary though you could never be too sure whose child's cake you really were going to end up with, so I was always a bit wary about eating those just incase a few bogeys had been accidentally mixed in with the cake !! :eek:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
