So as you have probably guessed my weekend has gone by in a flurry of madness.

Saturday went something along the lines of, get up early, scrub the house from 8 until 4 whilst making breakfast and lunch and tidying up in between the cleaning and the washing. At 4 pm three friends of DD2s arrived to get ready for a party, half an hour later another knock at the door and there stood DD1's friends. Helped DD2 choose clothes for party and organise her bag and bedding and wrap the present as she had forgotten. I was then told that they needed to take their own snacks and goodies to the party so while they finished getting ready I jumped in the car to purchase the goodies.Piled them all in the car at half five and delivered them all to the house where the party was at. Drove home. DD1 and friends asked if I would drop them off, so they piled in car and I dropped them off too. Got home at 6.30, put up the ironing board and called my parents for a chat whilst ironing . At 7 , DD1 called to be collected. Collected her but her friends parents refused to collect her so feeling sorry for her I then dropped the friend home too. We then got back at 7.30. Threw tea on the hob , when DD1 then remembered that there was an event in the town that evening of which she wanted to photograph, so at 8ish I took her back out collecting friends en route. I arrived back at about 8.30. My mum then called me back as she was upset about something so I cleared up from dinner and continued ironing while I spoke to her. Put phone down to her at 9 then DD2 rung as they had found an injured bird at the party house and wanted to know what to do with it. Not that I am a baby bird expert by any means but she put it in a shoebox, made it warm and cosy . Not long after it died but not before she sent me photos of her and the baby bird. Mr PG then called about 9.15. I finished on phone to him, put ironing and ironing board away and put PJ's on. I got as far as the bottoms when DD1 rung to ask to be collected early ( her friends parents were meant to be doing pickup). The event had turned into a disorganised shambles and she was quite stressed out and worried. So off I zoomed in half of my PJS to collect her. Home by about 10.30 and sat down at 11pm when DD2 then began texting me from the party as someone had sent her unpleasant texts and she wasnt sure how to reply. Talk about stress city ! :rotfl:

Needless to say I didn't sleep Saturday night as I was worrying if DD2 was ok or not. turns out she was fine, I was the one doing the stressing and worrying.

Sunday was pick up of DD2 at 10am. She hadn't managed to sleep until 4am when she had escaped from the other girls in the lounge and taken herself off to a bedroom where the dad had found her Sunday morning !! Sunday was much the same as Saturday but I did sit down in the garden after mowing the lawn at about 4 ish for an hour and helped DD1 with her revision.

So without boring you off the details of Sunday we are on today !

DD1 had her GCSE Biology today  Thankfully though she has come home full of smiles and seems to think it went well. Chemistry is Thursday, with a 6.30 Breakfast Revision session beforehand. She will be exhausted.

Work going well , been busy today and lots of possible work in the pipeline for later in the year. We did have a six week job for July / August which was cancelled last week but hopefully we will fill this. This month is a little quiet by that I mean there are 12 days out of the 31 without work. It has dribbled in slowly. I suppose we are so used to working every single day of the month it gets us a bit panicky but if I look at a normal persons work and lifestyle and assume they get weekends off that would account for 8 days a month, so we are only short by a couple of days. Think that makes sense.

Now though after that mammoth update I will shoot off. My adopted daughter turned up on the doorstep in her Onesie about an hour ago and her and DD2 are making homemade pizzas in the kitchen  Im not sure whether to stay put int he office for a bit longer or go and investigate proceedings ! At least I don't have to cook them any tea as they are making their own ! :D

:rotfl:Im not quite sure why I felt the need to write it all down but I think my brain and body were still freaking out by the overload of it all and I somehow thought by getting it all out on paper as it were it would make me feel better !

I remember those lovely quiet evenings well, enjoy them Stripes ! I am already gearing up for next weekends madness x

    Hope you are well x

Pinot, your weekend sounds like mine used to but I had 4 teenagers. Now four in their twenties and life is a bit quieter. The other parents are doing well on saving fuel. You must have used up a huge amount.

Good luck to DD1 with her exams. If she decides on A level Chemistry or Biology I may still have a selection of revision guides :D I am sorting through bookshelves and getting rid of lots.I have 3 copies of one biology revision guide.
