Hope DDS both get better soon. Perhaps mention to the exam invigilator that DD1 is unwell as they may take it into account when grading her paper. It's always worth a shot anyway.

Hope the rest of your day goes well

  • I have just found a Cinderella Snuggle Sack at the back of DD2s wardrobe. I wonder if anyone will want to buy it if I stick it on £bay ? DD2s legs are far too long to climb inside anymore, it will probably only come up as high as her ankles ! :rotfl:

I had no idea what a Cinderella Snuggle Sack was, so I googled it. And it took me straight to ebay, where one apparently sold in December, but only for 99p :(

  • Oh Yuk, what a week and its Friday already !I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Im not much looking forward to the weekend really.

Had both girls off school yesterday , sickly and germy. I took DD2 to the doctors and she now has antibiotics . Hopefully they will kick in soon as she looks so sorry for herself and its horrible seeing her so poorly when she is usually so full of beans !

Spoke with DD1's English teacher yesterday and the exam she thought she had yesterday which she couldn't have done anyway as it was a speech and she had lost her voice, apparently isn't until next week, so that's good and she didn't miss anything much. She had it written in her book it was yesterday as had the other children but the teacher keeps on changing her mind. She told me DD1 was getting stressed in class, I told her she is stressed which is not like her but as the teacher sprung three exams on them and then kept changing the goalposts and dates it was no wonder. Even when I spoke to her the woman kept changing her mind as to when the exam was,one minute it is Monday then it is Tuesday, even I was getting confused !!

The upside of having poorly children this week has been that we have had 8 NSD's as I didnt make it out of the house last weekend either. Mr PG has only had business expenses and bought nothing additional. I have severe cabin fever now though and need to get out. DD2 is awake in bed and the sun is shining. I said that maybe we should wrap up warm and go for a walk in the fields and along the river, nothing too long but I think the fresh air will do us both good. I am feeling in the duldrums again and MR PG and I are barely speaking so its not a very happy household at the moment. I think perhaps the stress of the last two months with work has got to us. We need to get back on track, its a rarity for us to be like this.

On the work front the contract looks good for five days next week still and then I think it may drop down after that to two or three days. In the meantime we have a few dates come in for March but as a rule things are still looking pretty quiet. If we hadnt got the contract I'm not quite sure where we would be now.

An invoice has been paid today, not the overdue ones, they are still overdue but have been chased. I paid back the VAT ( for my own peace of mind) , paid £55 to the tax man and updated the signature, paid a couple of odd bills and there is barely anything left. I might just manage to pay the council tax but then I will need to start borrowing back from the VAT again to pay for fuel and parking. Grrrrr ! The loan is due early next week , I havent got my head around how we will pay that yet.

So thats my Friday update. I will skim around the diaries now and see how you all are while DD2 is reading then I need to jolly along with my day and hopefully make it outside of these four walls at some point ! :D
