a stinky weekend capped off with a sick kid and bad night's sleep would make anyone's Monday awful. And "THEY" called at 8:15 dear lord. We are just going to have to do what we can x

  • Oh for goodness sake.

Invoice thats overdue, only £402 apparently missed the payment run last week . They wont pay now until the 15 Feb, so two weeks away.If we jump up and down too much for £400 they will probably guess we are struggling and also going on past performance get very narky if we chase money an then wont use us. They are one of our main clients so I dont want to make waves. I didnt pay the council tax in January or the mortgage. The plan was to pay the £270 Council tax, £40 to THEM to keep them happy, put £70 aside for the VAT , leaving us the grand total of £22 until someone else pays.

Mr PG needs £10 per day to park his car plus £80 a week in fuel to get to and from the job, plus whatever fuel I ned. This is getting silly now.

I think I am going to climb in bed with DD2 for a cuddle and stay there today ! x

Oh dear, so sorry to hear things are so up in the air at the moment. It must feel like one step forward 3 steps back but you are moving forward really. Your weekend and night is enough to make anyone want to rebel, without THEM ringing so blinking early.

Hope DD feels better soon and the conversation with THEM goes ok. It's annoying about that bill but as long as its paid on 15th you can do those things with the money then. As to OH not listening, perhaps print it out for him and give it to him, asking for any useful suggestions.

Thanks granny, I am so fed up today. :(

Its getting through until then with £15 in the bank various direct debits due out and needing to be able to get to and from work. Theres not a lot of food in th ehouse either. The council tax is already on a plan so they will very quickly be on our case. Your right though, it actually feels like 10 steps forward and a 100 back today.

I am glad THEY called Mr PG and not me, I think I would have just cried down the phone to them, at least he wont do that. I have just text him and he is listening really, I think he chose not to comment as he had no sugestions as to what we do next. Thats a wild guess though on my part !

We will have to live on the VAT money until we get something filtering through and then hope they all pay on time to enable me to pay back the VAT money before the return is due if that makes sense.

Still robbing Peter to pay Paul really, but at least its not on cards. I should be greatful really x

Right, DD2 is awake, running a horrible temperature. She is propped up in bed with a book and some honey and lemon, I need to give myself a shake and get a grip x

I know its not ideal that you have to rely on the VAT money but at least it is there and makes more sense to use it than to be struggling to find money for essentials. I'm totally not surprised you are fed up and it just goes to show that some "Me" time is needed now and then as you were already fed up this morning.

My suggestion for next weekend is that you take some time out for you, run a bath, lock yourself in your bedroom, whatever you need to do really, just take an hour out for you. The others are probably wondering why you just don't do it, rather than giving you permission to do so, after all they don't need permission do they. You need to allow yourself to take some time for you

    Mrs PG

Sends hugs...((((()))))) This all sounds absolutely carp and I agree a weekend with no break ( I like your phrase 'jollying on with homework' that sums it up exactly) is also the pits.

Hope tomorrow is better.. Have a good feeling it will be..fingers crossed

You poor poor thing, what a horrible time you're having. So tired and all that worry eating away at you. I don't really know what to suggest, but I do agree with the others, you have to make time for yourself, you're a wife and mum not a servant, they can manage without you for an hour or so!

Rant away, let off steam here, there's always someone to listen.

  • Sorry things are so carp at the moment Mrs PG. I dont have anything helpful to add other than you must make time for you. Even a 30 minute bubble bath with a book will help you feel a tiny bit better xx
