  • Thankyou ! I cant answer you all properly as I will blub,so I will just say thankyou, you are all so lovely.

I look rubbish and feel rubbish, I have cold coming as well I think. :(

I need to get a grip again and dust myself down and plaster on huuuuge Manic Grin.

I cant believe something so silly sent me into meltdown, it then went from bad to worse . I am tired, I have problems with my back again, I am waiting for results as to what going on. I dont sleep really which doesnt help. I refuse to go back on all of those horrible tablets from last year so I need to put up and shut up really but the tiredness is getting me down a bit but I have no right to complain I am so much better off than loads of people.

DD2 bought me a bath bomb from her pocket money the other day, :A they all ran me a bath last night ( cant figure out how it took three of them to run one bath !) , poured me a glass of wine and dug me out a book. We all watch the bomb melt, I think it was called a Duck Egg ( what is it with us and Eggs at the moment ?! :rotfl:), it was lovely. It was like a giant surprise, one minute it fizzed, then it oozed orange stuff, then gold sparkles, then confetti and the finale was it crackled like popping candy ! It was byootiful !! Just what the doctor had ordered as I had been cleaning at my parents house in the evening and was shattered. Mr PG was put in charge of jollying the girls along for bedtime, but he got distracted, forgot the time, the girls then had an argument in the room next to me, so I ended up getting back out to go and sort things out. Didnt quite end up the relaxing evening I planned !

Today we have drummed up possible work for February and Mrch. We have had alot of interest on the pictures, but no more orders as yet, but thats fine.:D

Some of the money has come in, I have put aside the VAT and been able to pay £370 to THEM today. I will also pay the remainder of the December mortgage later. I will think about the Predtors and this months mortgage when my head is clearer.

The Cat That Shall Not Be Named has been sick all over the lounge carpet. The cause......... a very large, whole mouse  Thank goodness Mr PG was here to deal with that one, its not in my job description.

We are seeing friends tonight, they dont know our guilty secret, but I am hoping it will take my mind off of things and make me chill out a little. We wont be far from home so I am leaving the girls together for a few hours and we wont be late home. I havent done that before but DD1 is 15 in a few weeks and very responsible but if anything DD2 will take over and look after her ! :rotfl:

Right, smile is back on, deep breaths in and out are workign wonders. Off to smarten up and get a grip xxx

  • Glad you are feeling a little better, but have a hug from me too! I'm sure it will be down to lack of sleep, like a new Mum who busts into tears when she puts salt in her coffee instead of sugar! It's the little things that tip the edge when you are just soooooooo tired!

The bath bomb sounds lovely (argument not so much!). I hope you have a lovely evening Xx

No one said this debt busting was going to be easy and when we are in it for the long haul we are bound to have mini meltdowns now and again. That is why we all have these diaries, to offload on here so we don't feel quite so alone and know that someone out there understands what we are going through.

I would have a meltdown if my card was declined too, even if it was for a valid reason, as was yours, as opposed to it being because I didn't have enough money in the bank anyway. We are, (well most of us anyway), trying to do this whilst keeping up appearances to a certain degree and that makes things like this all the more difficult.

I hope you feel better after coming on here and seeing that you have support and knowing that you have that wonderful support at home too. Despite you feeling that your situation isn't as bad as some on here, it is still your situation and is bound to get you down now and then, otherwise you would be a robot.

Lots of love and very big hugs, I'll try to pop back later with some wine.

    Absolutely everything that granny said!

Each and everyone of us on here has had a meltdown, it's incredibly stressful juggling the money, debts and trying to keep a family happy. To a degree that's what the diaries are for, to rant, cry and sometimes laugh about debts.

Hopefully, granny will be back your favourite Pinot Grigio and more soon.

Sorry to hear about your mini-meltdown Pinot. Having a card declined would send me into one too. Most of us on here are living on a financial knife-edge and sometimes it doesn't take much to push us over. Especially when you were starting with a cold, have back pain and aren't sleeping.

Yay to Mr P and the girls for spoiling you a bit and I hope you had fun last night x

Dear Pinot, I am sorry to hear that things are so very difficult for you. I think yesterday must have been melt down day because I had a major meltdown too. Mine started when I phoned the electricity company to ask to reduce our monthly payment for the house from £120 per month. They asked for a payment of £180 and I broke down. I then tried to explain to Mr P who then went round the house turning every little thing off except the fridge and freezer.

    Once I started I couldn't stop :(

I look dreadful and had people arriving in the cottage today. Luckily they are old friends and I have tried to make myself look respectable again so they probably didnt notice. Or were too polite to say anything.

So loads of hugs and silly smiley faces from me.

Glad to hear you are feeling better today. It's always the little things that will get to you.
Try to find 10 minutes in your day just to do something for you, and I don't mean to come on here (although we all love chatting to you). I mean something that has mothing to do with businesses, daughters, houses, cars, cats OR MONEY!!! We're all guilty of being bogged down, so it's the pot calling the kettle black really.
