I am hanging in, just have the blah's, probably to be expected after the surgeries and such xx

Dont you just hate the blahs, thats definitely what I have as well.

My surgery was nowhere near as major as yours and it was last summer, but I still dont really feel myself at times. These things really knock the stuffing out of you dont they ? Far more than I ever expected. My head still feels foggy after all of the medication. Then............with everything else life throws at us, its no wonder we go a little bit stir crazy at times !!

You can share my Manic Grin along with Pooh if you wish , theres plenty to go around for those who need it ! :D:D:D:D:D

Right then Mrs P, I think you need to work on a bit of self-selling here...not the type where you get snowed on at the street corner though. You've just told us you were turned away by 5-6 agents, then you told us you still do the same thing....soooo a little bit of fobbing might be what is needed...Next time you go to them you need to tell them that you used to work for xyz company, but have transferred those skills to your own business which is quite successful yada yada yada...however you'd like to build further on those skills outside of the business so would like to get back into more targeted industry. Would that work??? Some kind of way of telling them you haven't been away from the industry at all?

I am currently drinking a red smoothie very carefully whilst reading your thread :D Have you got snow there?

You go easy with that Smoothie Kerri !! We finally painted over the Smoothie Strewn Walls yesterday.

Yes I agree, in a roundabout way I could go down the route you suggested, I probably need to be more assertive. Its a completely different industry we work in now, but still use some of the previous skills, so maybe I need to be slightly economical with the truth ish. Thankyou. Sadly all of the companies I previously worked for have ceased trading in recent yers and the whereabouts of the directors a mystery . What you have said though is a really good thought and you made some great suggestions which I will most definitely bear in mind but ...........

since I posted earlier today on the basis of one email, and one phone call, thingslook to have done a complete and utter turn around, shows just how topsy turvy this silly business is and so out of our control.

Wont say anymore now, dont want to jinx it, but it looks as though our short term problems may be on the way to being solved . In which case I wont have time to be out job hunting.

    Watch this space ! :D

Oh and we have a very light smattering of snow but nothing fun. I was hoping for a bit of night time sledging with the girls and Mr PG as well ! x

Oooh hurray!!!! \o/ Mrs P will get to have more of her walls covered in smoothie and won't have to move!!! Mrs P that's completely fabulous news, fingers and toes crossed. All our positive vibes must be working.

Should add...my Mum phoned yesterday to say her boss is bullying her, she got a much sterner "for goodness sake woman, make stuff up on your cv and go get a different job instead of moaning about it" kind of kick up the bottom about assertiveness :D

I'm bored of snow now, I'm going to look like a moron going to L1dl for 40 tins of beans now...I want to bulk buy them!
