I have the most amazing garden spiders all over my garden at the moment. The only problem is they insist on weaving a web from the garden to my car every night so I have to go out like a samurai warrior chopping in front of me every time I want to get to my car.

DGD1 is afraid of spiders and insists on screaming when she sees one, she's also afraid of wasps, bees, flies, well I'm sure you get the picture. Not wanting to be mean, I tell her off for being silly, hoping she'll grow out of it, as it is learned behaviour from her DM.

There is a rather large long legged spider in the corner of my living room and much as I'm not keen, I've told her he's there to stay as he's my pet, called Matilda, (I know I'm not sure of a suitable male spider name and don't know which he is anyway). She spends a lot of her time when she is here, peering at him and making comments about him, so tbh I don't think she is scared really, just thinks she should be.

  • I always worry that a mouse might pop out of a box Im peering into ! As you can tell Im not good with creepy crawly things.

Bet it was fun trawling through those boxes at your parents house !

The best thing we found was a telegram my Dad sent my Mam for her 21st birthday when he was working away from home. :T

I miss spuggies, don't really see many birds where I live now, or maybe it's because I'm out at work all day :rotfl:

  • Granny you are funny !!:rotfl:

I have a spider thats living above the front door and weaves its web every night so we get a face full of sticky web every morning when we leave the house. I really must ask Mr Pinot to remove him / her to a new home.

They are everywhere, one ran over my foot this morning on the stairs and has been making its way up and down them pretty quickly all morning. DD1 was running late for school this morning so didnt have time to remove it.

Anyway enough spider talk for me...............on with the day !!:D

I survived the loft :j and have a box of paperwork from the Build of the House. The Builder called back and said its NHBC's Problem which we suspected , but NHBC are being cagey. They didnt call back with an appointment for their assesor to visit, so I will chase them today. In the meantime I have written to both Builder and NHBC by Recorded Delivery confirming in writing that a claim / complaint has been lodged. Just incase they both try to play dumb for the next four weeks when the NHBC runs out and we are left with a £1000 bill for roof repairs !

Job for Today .........tackle Westcot and my missing £300 that I have paid them and they say they have never received !
