    Ohh love Duran Duran.....

There are masses of spiders around at the moment, always are in Autumn :( A couple have come to a sudden end today as they were mistaken for cat snacks
I have some lovely pet spiders of the tarantula variety, and this brought tears to my eyes :rotfl:. Mister Spock and Mister Sulu are my precious babies and my cats just give them a paw poke, and never ever chew:)!!
    Trying to shift that debt!

  • So after all this 80's talk, I ended up listening to all sorts of music over the weekend in an effort to reminisce !

Level 42 will be my band of choice today while I work !

Do you think its a strange coincidence that most of us are pretty much 80's kids growing up in the "Yuppy - You Can Have it All Generation ", and then we have foudn ourselves in debt ? My job from mid 80s consisted of Traders appearing where I worked ,with plastic bags full of cash (£1000 of £ worth of cash ) that they needed to dispose of in the best way possible. My job in a round about way was to spend it for them, on Limousines, Concorde flights, Penthouse suites at top hotels around the world, fancy restaurants, ridiculously priced champagne. They didnt care how it was spent, all they cared about was enjoying the trappings of their success !

My how things change, many of those same guys had a very big fall from grace and are now struggling to make ends meet. Very sad nonetheless but I bet some have regrets as to the frivolous way they spent their cash back in the day .

So onwards and upwards today. Yesterday was spent looking at numbers from 8 in the morning until about 5pm without a break, pretty stupid as I ended up with one hell of a headache and I think I will be dreaming numbers for the forseeable future ! But I am nearly there with the Accounts and will get them to the Accountant asap. Then I will sit back and wait with baited breath for the next tax bill !

We were finally paid yesterday. :D Thank Goodness, things were getting exceedingly tight. Mr Pinot had to get to Newcastle for work on Friday and fill the car with enough fuel which pretty much took the last of our reserves. But the money showed yesterday, I have paid another chunk to the tax man, put aside the VAT, reimbursed some of the Emergency Accounts (no doubt to borrow from again) . We still havent had all of our money in for September, but I will pay half the mortgage and the rest when the last lot of Sept money appears. Its still a juggling act but nowhere as tough as it was and for once we have some savings , although dwindled, to fall back on rather than using a credit card as we once did whilst we were waiting for the money to appear. :D

So another signature update duly done this morning (feeling pretty pleased with it !) and I'm off to work. September filled up nicely, only two days off for Mr Pinot :(, but October we have nothing. Not even one day. The contract we did have until yesterday which was guaranteeing a few days each month from now until April was cancelled . Mr Pinot is confident things will improve, this is nothing new and October is a notoriously difficult month in our business but I am having a mini panic.:eek: Today I am hoping to drum up some business , so fingers crossed !! :D

Off to hassle people now !

Sorry I 've not caught up on the diaries, sickly children, housework, business and life getting in the way a bit at the moment ! :o

Ooh I know ! I hate paying THEM sooo much ! I am pleased as I only have £200 left to give them, but on the 31st OCtober another huuuuge bill will land on the doormat ! I dont think I will be able to face adding that back onto the debt figure , so as its technically the businesses tax and not mine personally I think I may cheat a little and pretend its not there , and pay it off quietly !!! :rotfl:

Oooh I jsut remembered a little bit of news, but I have to work, I will post later x

    Only £133.18 to go

You will get there and what an incentive to be out of the teens.

  • DS2 came home from school with her two week old shoes in tatters !! That child is known to wreck shoes, but this quickly...really ?!!

She insisted she had to have pretty trendy ballet pumps, I said she had to have something sturdy , that did up with lace or a buckle .....cue a war of words in the shop much to the staffs amusment !!

Guess who won :D !! Its amazing what the threat of Clarks shoes will do to a nearly 12 year old, fashion conscious girl !! :rotfl:

But we are now down £30 from purchasing Next Brogues......bang goes my NSD today !!
