Hi, I've been following this thread for a few weeks as i had also received the same letter from NRAM. I finally was sent an offer last week after waiting nearly 16 weeks, which im really happy about :T. But i was wondering, In the letter it said the money would be refunded within 28 days but i just wanted to know if anybody had had theirs before or are still waiting after the 28 days? Thank you in advance :)

We returned our offer acceptance mid January. Rang them last week to find out where they are up to and she said they received the acceptance on the 25th Jan so Money should be in account any day week commencing 20th Feb (so tomorrow) so looks like they are dragging the payments out as long as possible!

Money paid in to my account today :j:j
28 days exactly from the date they received our acceptance letter!

  • If anyone is thinking of phoning NRAM then I would`nt bother. They are about as much use as a chocolate teapot!!!!!!!!
  • So I am in nearly in to my 16th week now still no further forward. I rang NRAM last week and they told me to ring back at the end of this week as I will probably have an outcome. I have just rung and they have told me that I will probably have a letter sent to me in another 3-4 weeks. What a load of jokers!! In another 3-4 weeks they will probably tell me that it will be another month. Not impressed.
Wins so far: Limited edition serving bowl, 2 tickets to Black Eyed Peas at Alton Towers, A years supply of Crunchy Nut Bites, Dettol hand sanitiser x3, Models Own Make up, Bottle of Echo Falls wine, Nivea for Men, £25 on Premium Bonds, Day2Night Rimmel mascara, 500 AClub point, Stroller Roller Pushchair Travel Bag, £65 iTunes vouchers.

Looks like your situation is identical to mine and many others!!!
But suppose not a lot we can do.....
  • I too rang them today and was advised that they would flag it up with the PPi review team but would most likely be at least another 2 weeks before it would be looked into. :(
  • I am in the same boat too, it over 16 weeks for me now and I was told they would flag my query with the review team, as for the last 6 weeks Ive been told my claim's with the review team. So Im really not optimistic about them.
  • I started a thread earlier about a letter I got from NRAM and now noticed this. Seems there is a bit of mixed reviews on them........
  • A member of my family rang Lloyds regarding
a mis-sold PPI policy. He never heard anything for 3 weeks and was just about to ring them when a cheque landed on the door step. No quibbles, no monotonous phone calls and not having to wait months for a payment, let alone an answer. Northern Rock seem to be handling this quite badly!:(
