I recieved an offer letter from nram this week for a loan i had previously. The loan was for £1000 ok not much but they are offering £19.24. £13.98 of which is ppi refund which would mean i paid £1.60 in ppi extra a month and is 2% of the total i got refunded. Other people seem to be getting in the region of 13% do you think this is correct? not sure wether to accept or query?0

I've had a letter to say they've not received my acceptance of offer letter but I've not received the offer letter!
Called the 0800 2946744 number but when I select option 1 or 2 it just goes dead!
Anyone else have any problems with this number?0 -
I too have tried calling the 0800 294 6744 number today after receiving a letter saying I hadn't responded to the offer letter. Same result as "neiwoo" Very frustrating!! I have written a letter to the team telling them I have never received any offer- will not hold my breath waiting on a reply though having read through some of these posts.
Just as point of interest, has everyone who has received payment from NRAM had to supply bank details in order to process the refund??0 -
I've just phoned that number today - have received a second letter saying I am due a refund but they haven't received my acceptance. I telephone two weeks ago and they said they would send another acceptance offer letter to me - no sign of it which is why I phoned agian today. They say they are going to send out yet another acceptance offer.
Must admit I thought it was a bit of a scam but after reading this thread will press forward with it.
I have no detials of the loan I took out left as I paid it off a few years ago.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
i had the same letter last week about not receiving forms back and when i finally got through was told it had been sent out to everyone whose claim was under discussion in error so left it at that. Received another letter yesterday saying they were upholding my claim/complaint on 4 loans I had with them and will definately be accepting their offer today. They only asked for bank details this time whereas with my mortgage PPI claim which was also upheld they required copies of photo ID etc??0

Can anyone please help with a telephone number to contact Northern Rock and discuss a potential PPI claim. I have not had a letter at this stage but suspect I may have paid PPI.
Thank you.0 -
Anybody who is in the middle of a claim with NRAM please stick with it and be patient. I have just had mine upheld and it has been going on since December last year but has finally been sorted and should be getting paid £5300 over the next couple of weeks.0

If any one still viewing I have just had letter back requesting my bank details so that £7000 could be paid into my account as final settlement details immediatly sent back. The only thing is that I have never had a morgtage and I believe I had a couple of loans of £2000 about 20 years ago I have rang them up and no one seems that interested.0

Seems like you have done your bit, but have your checked out the request for bank details was genuine ?
Bearing in mind your vague links to them ?
We had a loan with NR for a few months five years ago, they contacted us, checked them out, repaid our PPI within a few weeks i think, about four months ago,
NR's repayment service seems good.0 -

Not in our case!!!
NR 1st contacted myself & my husband in March this year regarding a loan we had with them a few years ago, asking us to apply for a refund, which we did, they claimed not have received our letter a few times, but when they eventually did in May they told us we were due a refund of approx. £500 and to send in our bank details, to which my husband supplied his account (into which he gets his wages paid into) and we waited for the money.
Nothing.
Called them back & they said they hadn't got them, so he gave them again. Still nothing.
Called back again and they said his account details were invalid, so this time we gave them our joint account details (which all our DD's come out of), they lost those again, supplied details again and complained & they said the funds would be with us in 15 days which took us to the middle of last month, bearing in mind we 1st were promised the money in May.
2 weeks ago we still hadn't received anything, so we called them again & they said they had no record of us calling since 2 months previous and that they had no bank details on record! We again provided bank details and the NR call centre agent said it will definitely be credited in the next 2 weeks.
Still nothing, today we contacted them & registered another complaint and the agent mentioned that something had been updated on the account, but couldn't tell us what it was and we would just need to wait longer. We asked her to confirm which account details they had on file as we have no idea which one's they have now & she said there is a file on our account but she can't open it and just to send our account details to them again.
The service we have received has been very shoddy, in a previous life I did work in a call centre so I can appreciate how hard their job is and I don’t envy them at all, but we are now thinking of going to the FOS and register a complaint with them due to the length of time it has taken to refund us our money.
