  • Good morning to all.

No snow just brilliant sunshine here in the South West. Does anyone else on the thread come from around these parts?

I have got some work from home to do today but no motivation - My oomph has runaway with Queenie's!

OH has gone for blood test this morning and his car is in for service so I am car less - hooray - I cannot go shopping.

Not much done but house looks quite good.

    Breakfast - porridge
lunch - homemade mushroom soup (mushroom glut finally gone)
Dinner - fish pie i think not sure whether to do a tomato sauce or a cream one.

    Love to all.

I am so cross we had arranged for a parcel to be picked up today for delivery tomorrow, OH has just gone out of the front door and found a card on the path saying they called to collect the parcel and will call back tomorrow, they cannot possibly have knocked OH was in the kitchen and would have either seen anyone coming to the door or heard the gate...............I phoned and asked if they could get the person back, ' oh no they do not carry mobile phones' what a load of tosh even of they do not have a firms phone they have a personal one..................I could spit feathers, I promised delivery tomorrow and now the recipient will not get it until Monday which makes me look a right berk. Its not the first time this company has let me down the last time it happened it took 3 days for them to collect a parcel, I vowed I would not use them again, but for big things they are cheaper than the post office, never again...........GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I now have a massive headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Hello every-one.I hope you are all well. I havent read all the posts yet but hope to a bit later .Well today i have lots of housework to do and here i am as usual avoiding it by looking on moneysaving!! Its colder here in Berkshire today ,than yesterday, when it snowed. The mini snowmen that ds made are still there albeit a tad shorter than yesterday.I intend making a stew for dinner tonight with dumplings. yummm, not good for the calories but then when did that ever stop me!Today its 10 p listing on ebay for "buy it now" items so i might try to sort some of my daughters clothes out to sell. Not alot else to say except have a good day and hugs to those who need them. Love Elaine

    Hello everyone

No snow here but plenty of ice... Children had fun when we walked to school this morning :j , it is a 30 minute walk so they had plenty of opportunities to fall over.
I am desperately seeking motivation since I have last bit of my Citizen Advice bureau advisor training homework to do... Ohh, I just cannot get my thinking cap on today.
Spoke with my mother this morning, it is -18 celcius and snowing in Finland. She was just on her way out for a walk, I am quite jealous. No, no, no must stop typing and start homework. Good day to you all, will log on later to see how things are going.

twink - no I'm not from Thurso. My Dad was transferred up there for 5 or so years. I am an Edinburgh lass! I remember vaguely going to Bettyhill on our way for picnics down Strathnaver.

My Mum and sister still go up for an odd visit but the number of friends up there is dwindling. I haven't been back since I was 15. Probably won't recognise the place now.
