Good Morning everyone
Welcome bellsbells
Nels and Queenie, you really made me chuckle. Got a map to the woods? Or to some Ooomph? I could do with some too
Churchmouse, was it really a full inch of snow yesterday? it looked more like a centimeter but the way the transport reacted you would think it had been 6 feet :rotfl:
None here today, just cold and damp instead
Westy, sorry to here about your Gran, that must have been frightening, I'm glad she is OK.
Kyle and AMIE99 well done on the weight loss :T
Pink and Snowy, go on girls, get those flights booked
OS plans for me today? errrrr. non as it is a full w**k day as usual. I'm taking HM soup and bread with me for my lunch. Does that count?
I hope you all have a wonderful day (and that the earlybirds don't have bad heads this morning :rotfl: )
:wave:My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

Morning Chatterboxes!
7am, and I'm on page 2
Off to York to see my cousin and her new baby. Will be taking her a box of everyday biscuits, and a present for her 3-year old (a book and CD that I got from the Freebies board). Will buy a gift for the baby later - she'll be swamped atm.
Anyone else had trouble with Carphone Warehouse?DH bought a mobile for DS for christmas, and it never worked properly. DH took it back, and I went to collect it after a repair yesterday. Apparently the SIM card (which we bought with the phone with £10 credit - little of which has been used) is faulty. They let me take the phone, but wouldn't give me a new SIM card - said that due to "Data Protection Regulations" DH has to go into the shop. They refused to ring him to ask for his permission to give it to me.
I rang Carphone Warehouse when I got back to the office. They wanted a password, again wouldn't speak to me. The man I spoke to wouldn't give his name "as I'm not the account holder" and wouldn't allow me to make a complaint. He was very rude, but what can I do as I have no idea who he was:mad:
DH is on to Trading Standards today.
Off to put those biscuits into the oven.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Morning All
No snow here today & hope it isnt too bad tonight as DD is on a school trip and doesnt get back to school till 11.30pm, their school is 15 mins from here on all country roads, luckily my friend is pickg my dd up for me & dropping her home as OH works nights and DS will be in bed. So fingers crossed that roads will be ok. She is going to see Lion King and cant wait.
Have only made cup of tea this morning and loaded wm. Just about to empty dw and clean kitchen. Need to straighten DD's hair so it will be nice for tonight.
Need to pop out this morning and will make a detour to see what they have got in Netto, we dont have a Lidl or Aldi nearby. Am trying a new hairdresser this afternoon locally so dont have to traipes 1 hour each way to my old one.
No idea whats for dinner tonight, DD gets in from school at 4pm and needs to be back there for the coach at 5!
Well thats it for now, have great days and I'll catch up later.0 -
Morning all
Am off to w**k very shortly, first time in just over 4 weeks. Am a bit scared about driving in cos of the snow (I had a small car crash) but know that I have to do this. Fingers crossed for me! Luckily its all main roads and I kknow the gritters have been down so I will be fine.
Afterwards am off to see mum to help her load her ipod (last one was faulty) and then back to mine for a quick tidy of the kitchen (which has managed to stay pretty clean all week!) and there is some filing to do. Not sure about dinner, have lots of batch cooking in the freezer so will pick something when I get home. Off to the cinema later to see 'Night at the Museum' which looks quite good.
Have a nice day everyone, enjoy the snow and I hope it doesn't cause too many inconveniences!!
:heartpuls cG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Good morning everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINKERBELLUK!!!
Feeling a bit more with it this morning, very cold, but no snow. Have one little one here today, and she is at nursery this morning, so im going to take it easy. Do need to pop to Waitrose for some milk and DSs footie magazine, i forgot to buy on Tuesday, but apart from that, not much needs to be done. WM and DW on last night, and i sorted it all before i went to bed - and moggins flylady list today is the main bedroom, which i do at the weekend, so just my dailies to do, which wont take long, and maybe a hot spot - i still need to sort the childminding cupboard, so maybe that.
Westy - my Nan also had a special button she wore round her neck in case of a fall which would call emergency help, but she is now 98, and my aunty lives with her as she isnt very mobile now. Hope your Nan will be much better soon xxx
Right, off to get my 2 up, LO due in 10 mins too,
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

kyle & Amie :T :T Well done to you both! :T :T
Shirley - sending posi vibes that your interview will be successful
twink - well? After your bedtime reading I was expecting to read what your first venture into the bread machine world was going to yield today - hm pizza? Doughnuts??
Pooky - ooooh, you lucky thing!! Enjoy!! :j All we've got is black ice
Essex - on quick turnaround nights like that in our house, it would have to be either a speedy pasta meal or a chuncky hm soup.

the trouble with me and dieting is.. i can be good all day, but as soon as i sit down to watch tv ect ( 7.30 ish ) i go to pieces, i find that i get the munchies and i want to eat naughies !!! and sticks of celery or carrot just dont do it for me !!!! i try and save a few points to indulge in the evenings but its so hard, then i get cross and upset if i be bad as i would hve ruined all my days hard work.. why is everything yuimmy so fattening !!!!I've been doing really well this week, but had a relapse yesterday evening
Still today is a fresh start. Can't be doing with fat-free sausages though - what's the point (I know 1 :rotfl: ) of them ? I'd rather have something naturally low fat like fish.
