When I was in high-school, which wasn't that long ago (we had phones ourselves) an effort was made to educate women that they didn't have to do a damn thing they didn't want to - so why now are women not being taught this? So by your own admission, everybody who should be assisting a young woman's development is failing them, and yet rather than focus on this as being the reason that they so willingly give them up to lousy boyfriends, you think we should ban !!!!!!?

Oh, and banning Facebook isn't the same as contacting the police over the distribution of child pornography, which you're claiming is rife.

Why?

Because behind every single one of those teenage girls is a mother who is my age or younger...ie someone who grow up in a period where women could and did, study longer, have equal access to education, have the chance to follow almost any career they chose, who had contraception available on demand, who were at liberty not to be 'little stay at home mother'...etc etc . Why have these women not taught their girls to have self-esteem , to say 'no'?

I was a shy teenager, yet I managed very successfully to say no to doing things I didn't feel comfortable with...from drugs/smoking/ drink and sex ( if I didn't want to I didn't!).

I think we need to agree to differ here. !!!!!! raises false expectations but maybe that's why the people who watch it enjoy it as it's not real. I still think if they felt it was fine they'd share it with their partner.
