that's all very well, but shouldn't the parents be monitoring what the children can see, there is also perfectly good software available to buy that isnt expensive for parents to purchase.
A good parent will control what their child can see on the internet, they wouldnt leave, !!!!!! lying around..0 -
I agree with mupette, it should be the parents responsibilityThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

yes but as I work in a school I realise that some parents will always need that extra help.
Of couse I also realise that !!!!!! is the most frequently viewed site for most teen boys so obviously not many parents are aware of or bother to block sites!
also understand that few men want such controls for obvious reasons0 -

And I'd suggest few men want to have the discussion with their wives as to why they've opted in...
Having children is a lifestyle choice. You cannot allow that lifestyle choice to impact on the lives of others.
I appreciate that a lot of adults are very poor at supervising their children and I honestly feel sorry for those children. But if a kid's at the age where they're starting to actively search out !!!!!!, they'll probably find it one way or another...0 -

That doesn't seem doable with this petition.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Of course it is. They "opt in" to allow adult content, then simply supervise their children (or "protect") while they're on the net. Simples.0 -
Why should !!!!!! bed opt in? What next a national register of people who want to look at !!!!!!?0

Tabak is hardly representative of society as a whole.
There are countries that do not employ anywhere near the level of censorship that we do in the United Kingdom that have lower violent and sexual crime rates than we do. As is usual, however, for the UK we tend to look for an easy scapegoat rather than examine the wider issues.0
