    Hi!

Im having a new freezer delievered tomorrow (between 8.30 and 3pm), how long do i have to leave it plugged in before i can use it? Anyone any ideas?

Wehn ever i have moved house and the freezer has been moved about i have been told leave standing for 4 hrs minuim to let the gasses settle.
But when i had a new one delivered the Delivery men said It would be ok after an hour ? they said it had something to do with wether the freezer has been stood up or lay down - Err Hope this helps and doesn't confuse

It "ought" to tell you this stuff in the book.

Having said that I went and checked the book for my fairly new fridge freezer. No mention of standing time before switching on, and not a word about how long it should be given to chill down before putting food in.

    Hopeless. Absolutley hopeless. :(

Probably been asked before but which is better for you brown flour or wholemeal flour.I`ve been using wholemeal flour in my breadmaker for a while but tried brown flour and to be honest I cant see much of a difference.Apart from the brown flour was cheaper.
    Any ideas?

I've got a Kenwood A707 and do a full bag of flour too. As far as I can tell the majors all have a similar capacity.

    Katieowl,
would you mind telling me how much liquid you add to a full bag? My bread is fine when I use 1.5 pints for 3lbs, but I cannot seem get it right for the full bag. (An answer in litres will be OK, even though this OS still thinks and works from recipes in imperial measures :rotfl: ) It is so much quicker to tip in a whole bag and cut out the weighing bit.
