Hi LTS,
Yes, it's plain flour. I use half value flour and half strong bread flour in bread, rolls and pizza and it's fine. I've never tried using just plain though.

I m cooking fish tonight for the 1st time:eek: I have put it in a oven dish and covered it with foil. Do I need to make any holes in the foil?:o Thanks.0

Hi, Andy! I don't pr1ck the foil when I do fish like that. It keeps the moisture in that way.
Enjoy your fish!

Hi andi,
No need to pierce the foil, it's better sealed so that the fish steams. It's nice to add a knob of butter or a squeeze of lemon juice if you have it.

sounds delicious..how long do you cook it in the oven and at what gas mark?0
-
Depends on the size/type of the fish
IF it's white fish some white wine (just a wee bit) is nice in there and any herbs you may have for flavour (Bay leaf or Parsley, etc) Bit of salt & pepper too."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

LearningToSave. wrote: »a quick flour/breadmaker question...........those of you that use value flour in the breadmaker instead of strong white breadflour.......i presume its plain flour you use?
and is it good for pizza dough and bread roll dough too?
going to try it-value flour that is-as another cost cutter!
I made pizza dough last week using plain value flour, and I found the dough a bit bread like...maybe I need to try different pizza dough recipes? I used the one in the panasonic 253 book. I was going to try with strong flour next time, but I shall give half and half a go as suggested above.0
