  • my bm pizza dough recipe uses 300g flour. can i double the recipe to make a bigger quantity of dough? Thanks

You can, but if your maximum BM recipe is for 300g flour, then the dough/loaf may not fit inot the BM, or the motor may not be up to the job ;)

  • If you buy raspberries that are reduced as its todays date, can you freeze them, whole or in a crumble.
How do you freeze crumble, as though you would make it ie with crumble on top of fruit or would you freeze fruit and crumble mix seperate.
Would you need to cook fruit first?

    thanks Caz

I have frozen whole raspberries, just popped them in freezer in their box, then shaken them into a bag once solid.

    Can't answer the crumble question!

I would freeze both elements separately. No need to defrost the crumble as it seems to stay the same virtually. I often freeze leftovers or make more than I need so I've got some on hand. HTH.
  • Thanks savvy_sue and billieboy,
would I need to cook them first?
if I freeze them fresh would I need to defrost them before i cook them.
Sorry but at early learning stage, and I want to make use of the offer at Mr A's, as going back for more, if any left.
    Thanks Caz

I don't think you need to cook them first, but I would defrost them before cooking them (with sugar presumably?).

If you cook them, they will go all mushy.

If you don't cook them, they'll go a bit mushy anyway, so never fit to serve unadorned in polite company.

With raspberries, it wouldn't matter if they weren't well cooked, so probably OK to cook them from frozen, BUT I usually just stir them into my cruncy bar pudding to add a bit of class.
