My MR breadmaker will make enough dough for 3 pizzzas.
But only want 1.
Can i freeze rest or should i cook it as a plain base then freeze?
Thanks
I knock the dough back down, shape it into rounds, place the first on a baking tray then separate each extra layer of dough with a layer of paper/film/foil. Fast freeze on an open tray then wrap in film or foil to go back in the freezer.
When you are ready for another pizza, simply add your toppings to the frozen base and stick it straight in the oven. It will rise and crisp beautifully.0 -
Any one know how to do nachos?? The type that you get in restaurants...? I've tried putting the chips on a baking tray and in a dish both times scattering the cheese over but whenever I take them out of the oven the cheese is never how they get it in the restaurants.. its either too crispy (and so are the chips) or not melted enough..
Is there a trick I'm missing???Life....mmmm....still trying to figure that one out but what I do know is if I had all the answers it'd be a hell of a lot easier!!!!!!:p0 -
Just a quickie!
I know there will be a recipe in here somewhere - but I can't find it!
I want to make a blackberry and apple pie - i have some cooking apples, the kids have just picked a few handfulls of blackberries! I wanted to make a crumble but they want a pie!
I never make pastry and i'm not sure whether to cook apples first!
I only have margerine - all the pastry recipes I've found use butter and lard!
Does anyone kno a recipe ith margerine I can use please???
Thanks0 -
Judi, You can just use marg instead of butter, but I think you might be better with a hard marg like stork.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

QUICK Q - can I freeze tinned tuna once it's open?
My cats has to have daily tablets and will only take them in tuna BUt the tuna goes off after two days and I end up throwing loads away. Even though it is Value tuna that annoys me so I wondered about freezing it? But she is SO fussy if it changes it's texture or taste she will then refuse her tablet.
Any ideas?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hi Knonie - have you tried popping them under the grill instead of in the oven? that might work better
if not, my flatmate used to make amazing nachos - quite soggy though, with crispy chips and cheese on top:
put a layer of chips in an oven dish
pour over some salsa, sour cream jalapenos, and a bit of cheese if you want
more chips
more salsa etc
until you're done, then top with loads of cheese
stick in the oven for 15-20 mins (that timing is a guess, but you'll know when they're done - they're all hot and squishy!) yummmmmmm0 -

Hi
Can you tell me if I can freeze black forest ham so I can use it at a later date? I use it instead of parma ham wrapped around salmon/chicken.
Thanks..0 -
I don't know what's different about black forest ham, but I often freeze dry cured ham.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
