Made too much this morning, can I reheat it in the morning for the kids or will it go horrible?
Thanks SS x0 -
I am not really into cleaning, spend too much time on here for that!
Anyhow, washer is smelly!! Looked at seal and inside its horrible, wiped it out with kitchen roll, but still has marks on.
Any ideas?
Thanks0 -
Hi SS. If I have any left, rather than reheat, I stir in some boiling water from the kettle cos it tends to thicken right up anyway so two birds...
On the other hand, if you break it up with a fork to smooth as much as poss then add a beaten egg, drop onto a hot griddle and you have oaty pancakes! They are yum if stodgy!Love and compassion to all x0 -
Or stir in some extra milk either...0

Well my first attempt at slow cooking was a great success! It's so easy! :j
Thanks to everyone who has posted recipies/hints for slow cookers, I'm converted! :T0 -
I was wondering exactly the same thing when I made too much yesterday!!!:D
I put it in a container in fridge then today tipped back into pan (I have given up on microwave porridge as I can't stop it boiling over and making a mess). Heated very gently with the addition of extra milk (as it was VERY thick) and it was great!!!
I know my Grandma always used to make porridge the night before as it was reckoned to taste better the next day but she used to leave it in pan on hob(switched off!) overnight. I think this was in winter though so I didn't want to risk leaving it out in warm(ish) weather and getting porridge poisoning.Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
I have used a multicoloured tablecloth from Central Asia for the first time, and now of course it needs washing. I am not confident that the colours won't run (it is probably not even meant to be a tablecloth!). Seem to remember that in such cases it helps to first soak in cold water with added salt - or was it vinegar? or both? before properly washing it. Does anyone know? (I did a search but still didn't find the answer.) Thanks a lot in advance."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0
