I don't doubt your info budgetflyer but is this another example of Ryanair currently breaching their own published Ts & Cs ?
Yes you are right. its ok for Ireland too. Even better:beer:
I've amended the details above. ONLY UK and ITALY0 -
pappanozza wrote: »That was one of my questions. For people flying between UK and Italy and having the Ryanair Cash Passport in pounds, one can books two single flights. Even when the exchange rate fee is 5.75%, it is still advantageous to pay in euros. Am I right?
Yes, possibly about 13 % on the Italy to UK leg.
on my last transaction Travelex Globe charged me 0.82 odd per Euro.
Ryanair offered a DCC of 0.89 (not outrageous)
so with the Ryanair Cash Passport card, 5.75% is about 0.87 so depending if there are any other charges on your card. 13%
BTW by having that card you would have of course got those example flights for around £73, saving even more:beer:0 -
I had trouble ordering this card with the verification page just hanging. Eventually I changed computer and it worked with safari not Firefox. My gripe ( there has to be one with Ryanair it seems), is that having received the card I realised there was no welcome letter and so no £6 voucher. I can't get through to customer services who just cut you off after a long regulatory blurb, saying they are too busy now. I had to use it to book the flight I wanted without the voucher.
Now I learn about inactivity fees, I suppose within 6 months I will have to find a retailer who accepts this card, or will they all like a proper MasterCard?0 -

Yes, it should be accepted pretty much everywhere.
Just buy a packet of Polos or whatever in a supermarket and use one of the self service check-outs to pay for it using the card.0 -
Hm... I think I might need to stop using my trusty NET+ and jump on the Ryanair Cash Passport bandwagon.
You can now book flights using a Mastercard Prepaid - for no charge - as long as the flight departs from OUTSIDE the UK, and your card is registered to a foreign address.
For flights departing from the UK, no matter where the card is registered to, the £6 per person per leg fee shall be automatically added.

Ryanair are extending the cash passport to the Irish Republic from 1st March.
It'll no longer work using a Mastercard Prepay card to save €6 per passenger on flights from Ireland to the UK.

This is a farce. I can't enter my address details to make payment:
"
Address Finder
Sorry but we can’t complete your order from the details you’ve provided. This is for security reasons."
Security reasons?! They clearly have no intention to actually sell these cards, they just want to be able to claim that their flights are available at a price at which very few people can actually get them.0 -
Hi i have just got and used my ryanair cash passport and now have £12.04 left
am i right in thinking that if in under 6 months i make a purchase some where and pay the 50p charge i wont get charged the Inactivity fee for another 6 months but can still keep the card for when I want to travel next year
not a frequent flyer but it saves on the admin fees at least
Thanks0 -
yeah just make sure you make a purchase on your card at least once every 6 months to avoid the £2.50 inactivity fee.
After 31/03/2012 there will be a 50p charge each time you use this card within the UK. There is no fee if you use the card on the RyanAir website. If you use it outside the UK there is no fee (but there is a foreign exchange loading)0
