Sorry, Late reading the post :-[ The fluffy bit is impregnated with wax to trap the dirt. Don't ever wash it just beat it against a wall to remove dust. the dirtier it is the better it works. Saw them in Wilko's today for £1.99 (Wilko's own brand and blue) but they do the same thing.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

Shame on you 160. Get your Lakeland catalogue out - the Home Solutions one - and you'll find the Californian Dusters on page 23 (in the Autumn issue one which I've got here. They'll be on their website as well but haven't mastered how to do links and stuff yet :'(

have just been reading a closed thread about olive oil and lemon polish but it doesn't give a recipe or amounts. it also says about using vinegar to get rid of polish build up but again no instructions

Mix 1 part lemon oil to 2 parts olive oil.
Another alternative for dusters is to mix 1 part lemon oil into 2 parts warm water then soak your lint free dusters in them. Squeeze the cloths out until almost dry and store in an airtight container (old jam jar or coffee jar) When you need to dust, the cloths will come out clean and fresh - lemon will scent and the oil on the cloths will trap the dust.
