Hi at home I just use a two microfibre cloth method (one damp ,one dry )
~In the caravan we use a pledge trigger spray that can be used everywhere ,wood ,glass ,kitchen ,bathroom ect, saves taking different products with us .0 -
Thanks. Wet cloth might not be so good on leather sofas, chairs, dining table and dresser unit though. Might have to look into this pledge thing. Like the idea of the method, the good for wood might do for the leather too I suppose.
Any others?0 -
Any ideas for a cheap, effective, environmentally friendly furniture polish?
My wooden coffee tables were drowned in the Cumbria floods last year and need some TLC.
Thanks in advance :A0 -
Hi M1618
I added this to the home made polish thread so you can get plenty of other suggestions:money:
I know beeswax is very very good for wooden furniture (performed miracles for my old wooden table ) but I am genuinely not sure if you would class that as environmentally friendly? That might make me sounds daft - but i genuinely don't know, so if someone wanted to enlighten me, that would be great:o (feels stupid!)
Thanks

I'm on a mission to start spring cleaning and again just have wipes for the furniture but I need to give the insides of the wardrobes and cabinets etc a good fettle. I don't like spray polishes much as they get to my chest, does anyone still use cans of furniture polish, if not what do you use?0

If I was doing the inside of my wardrobe, once I'd recovered from the shock of the thought of it and emptying the thing out, I would just use hot water and an eCloth. I think a spray polish would risk a residue on the clothes near the edges.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Wipes for the furniture !!! Good grief !!! Someone on another thread uses wipes for cleaning the floors !!! Why do people [STRIKE]spend[/STRIKE] waste money on wipes!!! One of those items which were never needed untill the marketing and sales people invented them.
Inside cupboards and drawers can be cleaned with a damp rag with a drop of wash up liquid in the water.
