Well i've got this reply:
Dear Emma ,
Thank you for your recent email.
We confirm that so long as you have followed the instructions in the
promotion, the free voucher would be automatically dispatched to you
within 28 days from the date of registration. However the offer requires
you to fulfill certain criteria to be eligible for the voucher,
including: registering for a free trial period, filling in all the required
personal information, using the required promotional code (normally
automatically added), and adding at least 10 items to your selection list at
the time of registration. If all the required conditions are met, you
will soon receive the free tickets.
At the time of registration, and for a significant period of time after
that, you have had less than the required 10 items on your selection
list. I'm afraid this is the reason you have not received the free
voucher. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Naresh

What to do?
If you haven't got your voucher.
Then first check

ii. You met the terms and conditions (see original note for more).
iii. Then e-mail love film at msesupport@lovefilm.com; including the following
a. Your Registered LOVEFiLM Email address
b. Your Registered post-code
c. The date you joined
d. Confirmation you have received at least one dispatch.

I have to say that I disagree entirely with your subsequent comment about not wanting to use a "blunderbuss" ML. Fact is, these people and their wretched CS are incorrigible - if they have not learned anything by now from all the complaints and are still touting the same inconsistent excuses (or fob offs, if you think it is a deliberate attempt by Lovefilth management to minimise outlay) then far from a blunderbuss, not even a RPG up the posterior will get them into action.
I would amend your checklist above as follows. If you want to stand a better chance then step iii) becomes:
iii. Then e-mail love film at msesupport@lovefilm.com; AND COPY IN BOOTS CUSTOMER CARE AT btc.cshelpdesk_team@boots.co.uk; including the following...
Getting the far more professional Boots CS people involved ought to get MSE'ers a better chance of getting this one sorted.0 -

Anyone else getting their emails to the Boots CS people returned - not delivered? I have emailed LOVEFILM 8 times now, and they are even overlapping answers, I'm getting different ones everytime, I have been point blank refused this morning, due to not having the 10 titles, which I did. An hour later I got another answer to my email saying they were looking into it!!! Does anyone have an alternate email address for Boots CS? Cheers.0 -
There is a Boots online form here - don't know if you'll have a better response from that;
http://www.boots.com/help/BootsStoresServiceComments_contact.jsp?pageName=/help/contact.jsp0 -
I have had problems too - I emailed as suggested and got the exact same email back saying I didn't have 10 titles on my list, I wasn't aware this was a stipulation of the trial, but emailed back saying I had fulfilled all of the conditions of the trial (not mentioning the 10 titles) and they have now emailed saying I can't have the voucher because it was a 1 month trial and I cancelled after 21 days - I have since emailed back saying the Boots promotion was a 21 day trial, as advised by their customer services call centre and am awaiting a reply - not hopeful :-(0

Apart from all the other problems people have with this company - mostly listed here and in the other main thread, one of the key things is never getting the same CS person twice (or the same answer twice either!)
Funnily enough, Lovefilm seem to be one of the most protective companies about "real" people and contact details I've come across - I wonder why on earth that should be that they only use generic emails???
However - and I can't remember if I've done this before, but here is a list of senior staffers they seem to have:
Simon Calver: CEO
Andrew Ground: Managing Director (they do appear to have a CEO & MD)
Chris Bird: Head of Marketing Services
Charles Gurassa: Non Executive Chairman
Fliss White: Marketing Manager
From what little I can uncover, the staff email format would appear to be:
firstname.surname@lovefilm.com
which would make it:
Simon.Calver@lovefilm.com
etc, etc.
I don't guarantee at all that will work but it's got to be worth a try for all you very disgruntled hordes of Lovefilm customers, and frankly I'd copy the whole load of those people in on your complaints - this company have made no concerted effort ot sort all this out and the management MUST know what is going on by now, so they desrve 100% all they get.
Go for it - MSE'ers!
Apologies in advance if my best guess on email format is wrong - but at least you've got some names and I hope they are helpful.0 -
I sent Lovefilm a polite email which they did not reply to (Even though their site tells you that they will reply in 24 hours) but the voucher arrived a few days later anyway.0
