  • This just proves that many people here do not read peoples post. Lots of people are getting their nickers in a twist without reading what many people are saying here - call Boots and they will sort you out. Forget about dealing with Lovefilm.
  • ...here is a list of senior staffers they seem to have:

    Simon Calver: CEO

Andrew Ground: Managing Director (they do appear to have a CEO & MD)

Chris Bird: Head of Marketing Services

    Charles Gurassa: Non Executive Chairman

    Fliss White: Marketing Manager

From what little I can uncover, the staff email format would appear to be:

    firstname.surname@lovefilm.com

    which would make it:

    Simon.Calver@lovefilm.com

    etc, etc.

I don't guarantee at all that will work but it's got to be worth a try for all you very disgruntled hordes of Lovefilm customers, and frankly I'd copy the whole load of those people in on your complaints - this company have made no concerted effort ot sort all this out and the management MUST know what is going on by now, so they desrve 100% all they get.

    Go for it - MSE'ers!

Apologies in advance if my best guess on email format is wrong - but at least you've got some names and I hope they are helpful.

    Bump my own previous post.

As has been said before several times - DON'T waste your time with the Lovefilth CS people - they'll just send you round in circles. But do copy all the senior staff in if you are dealing with Boots CS.

Or just email "the culprits" to let them know what you think of their company - boy, do they deserve it for all the upset they have caused.
  • My voucher arrived this morning!   :money:

Agree that Lovefilm are totally hopeless, emailed fantastic Boots CS and received £15 gift card yesterday! Would feel happy about this except down£15.99 for subscription as they claim I had a 2nd account, but email address was wrong, so did'nt know about it to cancel it. Who in their right mind would want to have 2 accounts them them anyway! Am now copying my emails to all Lovefilm's management, hoping that targetting them may get a result. OH says it not moneysaving but moneyspending!!

Thanks to the useful info provided by Edna_Bucket I have finally got somewhere with Lovefilm. Have copied their reply here for other MSE's who also may still be struggling. I'm sure the second para of this email will make everyone LOL ! I shall be watching my account to see if the money appears before declaring it a victory though!

    Dear Artemis,

    Thank you for your email.

I am sorry that you have had such a difficult time dealing with us, and that the reply from Marlene did not solve the issue. I am happy to refund the charges for you on your second - and unintended account. This will be processed today and will appear on your card statement within 3-5 days, depending on the turnaround time of your card provider. The problem of setting up duplicate accounts like this, is one which happens very rarely and I can see it has flummoxed everyone here.

Our service does rely on people choosing a few titles for their rental list (more than 10). Once you have done this the films really do appear in the post, and the whole thing is very easy. This is why we offer free trials - generally the service does speak for itself. I can only apologise that in this instance your free trial did not turn out too well.

I hope this brings this matter to a satisfactory conclusion and that we will be able to welcome you back to the LOVEFiLM service at some point in the future.

    Regards
    Andrew

    UK Managing Director

  • Just a quick one to say that I got the email, signed up, set my LOVEFiLM account to the most expensive option (3 DVDs at a time) so I could actually watch the films too, and get the most out of this deal in the 21 days!

So I made sure there were 10 titles in my list, got all 6 of the free DVDs in a couple of installments, no probs (except King Kong was too scratched to watch! Boo!), sent them all back as soon as I'd watched them, cancelling online (very early in the morning) the day before I sent back my last 2 DVDs (to make absolutely sure they didn't send out any more) using the normal free postage but with a free Proof of Posting certificate just in case. They received them without a hitch and confirmed the cancellation after that.

And the other day - I got my Boots vouchers (which I spent on lovely hair products and skincare!). It's also past the charging date, and I can confirm that I haven't been charged!

    Worked like a dream. :)

As for the service... I don't like the uncontrolled way they send out DVDs from your list, you can never really pick anything specific. So I wouldn't pay for it. But hey, not complaining!

    Strange.

The Boots offer applied to the Lovefilm base service of 1 DVD at home at a time.

Hmm, I don't recall seeing that anywhere. :/ Where did you read that? It's not in the Ts and Cs on the email I received!
