I got a £15 boots card from boots customer service's,
Plus I complained to lovefilm, who emailed me and said i didn't follow terms, so I emailed them back with all the movies I rented in the free trial plus the one's I had in my folder.

They have just emailed back with an apologie and said the £15 voucher is in the post so I have recieved £30 for the free trial.
  • I received my vouchers this morning having temporarily forgotten about them. No chasing up at all and no problems. Watched 2 DVDs for free, sent the 2nd one back at the last minute (2 days spare) and cancelled with no problems. I hope everyone else manages to get their issues resolved.

Just sent e-mail via link by Martin. I did get e-mail from Lovefilm 9/1/07 saying I had fulfilled t&c and voucher being sent out in next 2 weeks...still not received

This was the reply I received today using link as advised by Martin

'At the time of registration (time - 17:00:29, date -2006-11-29 , and for a significant period of time after that, you have had less than the required 10 items on your selection list. I'm afraid this is the reason you have not received the free voucher.

    Apologies for any inconvenience'

...I'm now worse off than I was yesterday..especially as I DID add 10 titles as per t&c...or else why would they have sent me a dvd and an 'alleged' second dvd that got 'lost' in the post?...whats my next step...contact Boots yet again and get the £15 through them? any help welcome!

    Hi Guys
just to let you know that I got mine today no communication necessary.
    Good luck to everyone else
  • I did the free trials thing and what I did was delete my list of films, send back the dvds I had and when they showed up as returned I then cancelled. That way they could not say they did'nt recieve them in time or send any more from my list.

Just got this reply back from Lovefilm:

Thank you for your recent e-mail

I understand your concern and have forwarded the same to the concern department.

Anybody else had their problem referred to the "concern department"?
  • Boots have just agreed to send me my vouchers. So don't give up on this one people!

I emailed lovefilm with a nice email and all the details asking why I haven't received any vouchers last week. I was pleasantly surprised to get a response the next day asking for my Boots advantage card number saying that they will credit the card with £15 straight away. Gave them the number, they've sent me an acknowledgment email and said the points have been added. Checked my Boots card online, no reflection of the points  do I need to check it in the store to be sure? have emailed them abt the points not reflecting on my Boots online account, no reply for 4 days  have email boots abt it now.. got an automated reply saying someone wil look into it and reply my query asap

thought I had it easy since lovefilm responded so quickly and so well to start... now its all gone haywire :o

good luck to everyone else trying to get their voucher! :p

You will need to go instore and use the Advantage card liosk for the points to be added to you account, but they should be showing as pending online. Ive found the Boots site dodgy regarding showing points, and also dodgy advantage point kiosks that dont give you the points that are pending, but another one in the same store will !!
They are also VERY slow at answering emails, and on the phone too
    :hello:

Further to my posts above. This morning, just as I'm on the verge of ringing Boots, an envelope plopped through the letterbox containing £15 Boots vouchers. That's despite them saying that I didn't take the trial for long enough, and also that my complaint emails had been sent to the "concern department"!!!

Keep trying everyone, hopefully it'll all be worth it in the end.
