I emailed lovefilm with a nice email and all the details asking why I haven't received any vouchers last week. I was pleasantly surprised to get a response the next day asking for my Boots advantage card number saying that they will credit the card with £15 straight away. Gave them the number, they've sent me an acknowledgment email and said the points have been added. Checked my Boots card online, no reflection of the points  do I need to check it in the store to be sure? have emailed them abt the points not reflecting on my Boots online account, no reply for 4 days  have email boots abt it now.. got an automated reply saying someone wil look into it and reply my query asap

thought I had it easy since lovefilm responded so quickly and so well to start... now its all gone haywire :o

good luck to everyone else trying to get their voucher! :p

I've just emailed Lovefilm using the address Martin gave. If I don't get a swift reply I'll be contacting Boots. After all it's a bad reflection on their company.

Yup, it did say you needed 10, here are the T&C:

    Terms & Conditions
This FREE trial offer expires on 31/12/2006. Offer only valid for first-time
subscribers to LOVEFiLM.com or any other LOVEFiLM International operated
service. Offer may not be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer and
is limited to one per household. The free trial expires 21 days after
registration or when we send you your 7th DVD rental, whichever is the
sooner. A valid credit/debit card is required to redeem the offer. The
registration process includes providing a current e-mail address, password,
home address (so LOVEFiLM.com can send out the DVDs), credit or debit card
details (to verify identity) and creating a selection of at least 10 titles.
Only users who have fully completed the registration process to sign up for
the free trial and have received their first disc will receive their £15
Boots voucher. *Your Boots vouchers will be dispatched within 30 days of
registration*. At expiry of the free trial period, credit/debit cards will
be automatically billed for the monthly subscription fee based on the
package selected, unless subscription has already been cancelled.
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, however, no refunds or credits
will be given for partial monthly subscription periods.

Just received this from Love Film.

    Cheers Martin!

"Thank you for your e-mail. This Boots offer was originally e-mailed directly to
Boots customers, including a link that directed them to an online promotions
page. The Terms and Conditions listed on this page stated that to be eligible
for the free voucher, customers must add at least 10 titles to their list upon
    registration.

With our permission, this offer was copied onto the 'moneysavingexpert' website.
However, it has recently been brought to our attention that the full Terms and
Conditions were not copied into the advertisement, and the link on the site took
customers directly to the registration stage beyond which the Terms and
    Conditions were displayed.

As your account was not registered with 10 titles, you did not automatically
qualify for the free voucher. However, despite this offer not being advertised
in accordance with our original Terms and Conditions, we will be honouring the
offer for customers who signed up via the 'moneysavingexpert' site, regardless
of the number of titles added. Your account details have been passed to our
promotions department, and you should receive the Boots voucher in 21-28 days."

    Hi
Just thought I would let you know I received my £15 voucher today- the approach i took was to email the Lovefilm people and take the empathetic approach (great service, thank you, will have no hesitation returning).
I hired 2 films then cancelled but added a total of 10 to my "earmarked" films.

Here is the email I sent with reply at top...GOOD LUCK!

    Dear Steve

    Thank you for your e-mail

Please allow up to 30-working days from registering your account for this voucher to arrive.

    Kind regards,

    Lindsey

Just got this reply back from Lovefilm:

Thank you for your recent e-mail

I understand your concern and have forwarded the same to the concern department. Hopefully, this matter should be resolved as soon as possible.

If you have any other query, please feel free to contact us.

    Kind regards,

    Mohammed

What on earth is the 'concern department'?
  • Ive had no problems with Lovefilm (feel i might get linched for saying that). I telephone to cancel and the lady extended the offer till 25th dec. I was a little late in sending the disc back because of the holiday period.

My vouchers arrived today. I hope this provides a liitle hope to everyone who is still waiting.

Cheers Martin... another 15 quid in the bank!!

How random is that ????  (congrats by the way :D )

Ive given up contacting them, ive counted 15 replies all stating I didnt add 10 to my list, an absolute waste of time.

I really dont see the point of the email address Martin requested if all they are going to do is provide the same (incorrect) answer

I am new to this but agree with all that is said. I also signed up for the free trial, hoping to receive my Boots voucher. I saw nothing about selecting 10 titles when i did this. Cancelled in time and sat waiting for my boots voucher to drop on the mat - to no avail. Sent an email as Martin suggested and got the response about selecting 10 titles!! Hope you suceed in getting some joy from Boots.
  • hi
i was having touble getting the said voucher from lovefilm so i came on here and discovered others were too. but 1 man said he called the advantage card team and complained so they credited his card there and then.......so this is what i did and they credited my card too, in the mean time i was still e-mailing support at lovefilm saying how i thought they were just wriggling out of sending me vouchers with lame excuses, they kept e-mailing me back to tell me yet again that i wasn't getting the vouchers as i'd not fulfilled the t&c's (which i had), but on the same day they e-mailed to tell me this the vouchers arrived in the post (it seems the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing in bombay!!). i look upon it as rare compensation for all the corporate bulls*$t we as consumers have to put up with! did anyone else get vouchers, or were you fobbed off too?
