Did you get your £15 Boots Lovefilm voucher?

Just to keep you all in the loop, I have just made a complaint to Trading standards and the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Here is my copy:
Dear *****,
I am very disappointed in the way I have been treated by Lovefilm. I recently signed up to a Lovefilm promotion, which was in conjunction with Boots.com, whereby I would receive a £15 voucher if I tried their online film rental service.
So, I signed up, selected some films and began to trial the service. During this time my voucher had not arrived, so I contacted Lovefilm to ask where it was. They informed me that if I provided my boots advantage number, they would ensure I got my voucher. This I did, but still I received nothing.
The trial was nearing the end so, before the 28 day period was up, I canceled all the DVD's in my selection, and sent back my remaining DVD's, giving myself plenty of time for the DVD's to arrive back at Lovefilm.
When I contacted them regarding whether my subscription had been canceled, they informed me that it hadn't, as the DVD's were not received before the 28 day period was up. This surprised me somewhat as Lovefilm themselves had sent me an email stating that I had no films selected in my account so they were unable to send any films to me!! So I was charged £15 for the following months subscription.
I then tried to chase up my Boots voucher and I was met with an email stating that because I had not selected 10 films to choose from, I was not eligible for the voucher. This was something that firstly was not clearly stated at the outset of the trial and secondly is frankly ridiculous. What has selecting a minimum of 10 DVD's, that can't possibly be sent to you over the period of the trial, have to do with a customers eligibility for the vouchers?
I believe their terms and conditions were unfair and would like trading standards to investigate this promotion to ensure other consumers do not lose out. There are many other customers who have also lost trust in both Lovefilm and Boots as can be seen from the numerous online forums.
Regards,

When I emailed them back saying that I couldn't find anything about that in the T&Cs this is what I got back:
Thanks for your e-mail regarding your account
I have looked at your query and i have pass your query over to the relevant department.
We will try and get back to you as soon as possible.
Once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused and if you have any other questions then please do let us know.

I had no problem during my trial or since. My account was open for around 2 weeks, I received one dvd and as soon as I had popped it in the post cancelled the account and as soon as they got the dvd they closed the account. I also emailed to ask about the vouvher and was told to wait 28 from signing up. I am very pleased to say that my vouchers arrived yesterday.
Hope you all get the mess sorted out soon.0 -
Thanks for direct e-mail address.
Lovefilm are telling me that I'm not eligible as
1. my membership's been cancelled - I've pointed out that the offer wasn't conditional upon continuing after the trial
2. I've not listed 20 titles - (some users saying 10?) - I don't recall that being a condition either. Does anyone have details of the exact original terms?0 -

I've put the original T&C in Post 20, you def only needed 10 titles not 20.
Not that it seems to be making much difference, I've had emails stating that a voucher will be posted soon, then within another 28 days, and now changing their mind altogether and I did meet all of their conditions- I made sure that I did! Oh, they're driving me crazy!
Good luck with yours. hope you get somewhere! :beer:0 -
