  • after being told by black horse/ lloyds that i was not getting ppi back from a loan i took out in 2008 which was paid off early i found myself having to write to the finacial ombudsman after filling out there form i received a letter stating that there were taking in 2500 cases a week yes 2500 cases a week and that they said they didnt know when my case would be dealt with but it would be over a year!!!!!!
    frusrating or what .

one angry customer that did not want ppi but that shower put it on and now not pay me back
  • I have been waiting for 7 1/2 months now from the date i started the claim, its been 5 months since i got offered a settlement, so far i have had no money, a bunch of lies and the right hand that doesnt know what the left is doing. Every time i call, i get put on hold for what seems like forever, i have been told that i should be getting some sort of letter explaining the claim and so on about 4 or 5 different times, each time they tell me they will resend it, im still waiting to recieve one of those letters, i have been told that i no longer will get a cheque and that my money will be transfered directly to my account, still waiting for that too, i ask to speak to someone who is in charge and im not allowed to because strange as it may seem, no matter what time or day i call, the "supervisor" isnt there, how strange. As far as i'm concerned Lloyds can do one as i will no longer be a customer of theirs or any other british bank for that matter, as this seems to be country wide, there are many other foreign banks that would welcome everyones money.
  • I sent a complaint to Lloyds TSB about mis-sold PPI on 4 loans back in October. I sent it by recorded post, and checked online the following day - it said it had been signed for by "M.R".

After no response a month later (5th November 2011), I decided to phone their PPI line. The chap on the phone said that they hadn't recieved my PPI complaint - so I took great delight in telling him that they had recieved it because it was signed for the following day by "M.R" - so he insisted that the paperwork must have been lost, and would deal with my complaint over the phone instead.

To be fair to Lloyds TSB, they then dealt with it fairly quickly. On the 22nd December, I recieved a final response letter to say that they have agreed to pay a final figure of £8350 (including a percentage of a 5th and 6th loan that I never had PPI on - bonus!).

Now i'm just waiting for the payment to go into my bank account. Judging by all of your comments, this could be where the long wait comes in...... :(
  • I put in a claim to lloyds in oct 2011. Received letter with offer on 31st dec 2011. The letter was dated 6th dec. rang customer services today to enquire on how long before the cheque arrives. Was informed its up to 28 working days from date of letter. Which will be jan 17th 2012
But this 28 days isn't guaranteed. Why don't they enclose the cheque with the letter with the offer.customer services are not very helpful. The 1 I spoke was like a robot repeating a mantra. Anyone would think it was her that was paying the money back.
  • I was made an offer from Lloyds in November but the letter said if i agreed i was not needed to do anything and would be paid as soon as possible...i rang 2 weeks ago as did not hear and was told it would be in my account last week and it was not, i rang again today and was told they do not give times so the guy must have told me that to get me off the phone. Anyway still no idea when i will get it , it has been 59 days now and the women today did not sound like it would be anytime soon..

She did say i would get interest for the wait but does anyone here know if this means i have to put in another claim to get the additional interest?
  • its been a while since last post so heres the latest...upheld letter received october 25 with interest up to 18th november....absolutly no contact from Lloyds since!!! have rang once a week since december but all they seem to be able to offer is a sympathetic ear!!!

Sent letter of complaint back on May got reply they lookingi nto it. Then in August got letter to say that they had upheld it and an offer would be sent. Then on the 30th August offer made thanks very much but as yet no payment. Like a few people have said i rang them the first time to see what was going on and they said they was just waiting for a call from me so that the money will be flagged up on the system to be released !!! Yeah right that was 4 weeks ago and the last few times i have rang they said it will be with me within the week that never happened !! So today i rang and asked what was going on the lady on the phone was very rude and said There is not point keep ringing they dont know anything it will be in my account when its in !!!! So i then asked why was it that i sorted my brothrs PPI complaint out for him a good few months after me and he has been paid out!! She then replied that she couldnt comment on anyone elses complaint!! I didnt ask her to just wanted to know how the system works. Fro the date of the offer it has been 19 weeks up to now.
  • Hi, I put a PPI Claim in to RBS on 14 Oct 2011. I haven´t received even an acknowledgement! I have persued it by phone and am continually fobbed off. RBS says they cannot find it and it must be still in the post room but if we complete another complaint form we have to start all over again. The Post Office confirms it was signed for on the 17 Oct 2011.
Does anyone know where I go from here! Would appreciate any advice.
